McclaudEagle
Hi everyone. I am currently building a very large mod which will probably take over a year to complete. Anyway, one thing that is involved is making the city perfect. What I want to be able to do: I want to be able to walk along the Potomac for a while, take a left and keep walking for a while further and arrive in the Mall. To put it simply: I want to make all of D.C into the same cell as the rest of the Capital Wasteland. Now, what would happen if I attempted such a feat? Thanks. kruddpm
I applaud you for attempting such a project! i really do. This would be the mod of my dreams! However i dont believe its possible though unless you are planning on "re making" the entire city. In which case you would be bound to be confronted with at least a few conflicts and possible a lag issue. But if you do find a way to pull it of then you have my vote my friend! Because that would be awesome!
McclaudEagle
The mod I'm currently making is large scale, since it attempts to fully restored the Capital Wasteland/D.C Area to it's former glory. The project itself is called Rebuilding America. There has already been some good progress within the 3 days since it's beginning. The main thing is that I want to make the entire city, well, a city, not some messed up divided districts. As for the conflicts, the whole mod is going to be so un-fallout, so lore-unfriendly that there will be a conflict with every other mod under the Sun. Only joking, many mods should work with it. ub3rman123
What I'd advise is to ask about how the Open Cities mod for Oblivion was made. There's a large number of references, NPC's, and quest items in the cities there too, and it might be useful to know how to go about it. Good luck! McclaudEagle
The basic principle of the city itself is that it will: 1. Most of it will be demolished, then rebuilt to make it look similar to how it should in the map. 2. The need to use the metro's aren't there, since you should be able to walk anywhere. Thanks for the tip, I'll try and contact them and see if they can give me any pointers.
