Rise of Ouroboros - Ascension

 

This is the restart of my 'New Daedric Prince' mod, of which this is the first half.

This thread is my work-in-progress thread, where I'll make further requests.

 

(For those that don't already know :tongue: ):

 

The quest begins after you have completed the Main Quest. A strange Telvanni-esque tower appears

near the shrine of Mehpala. The player will informed by a Dremora herald who will deliver and invitation.

 

Once the player reaches the tower he finds it empty except for a note and glowing doorway.

 

The doorway takes you to a remodeled version of Mankar Camoran's palace and you are greeted by an Altmer

named Ealdor. Ealdor is a master chronomancer, and is a doddering old man, constantly forgetting what he's doing

or what he's done because he exists outside the normal flow of time.

 

The chronomancy aspect is a fantastic cheat in the story. He dwells in Mankar Camoran's palace, which has

been destroyed permanently in YOUR time, but the magic doorway did not take you to a place, but moment in time.

He was free to redecorate because later he will remove all these things and restore the flow of time to that

area. This also means that some people from Morrowind, who may or not be dead, will be guest.

 

In particular, Sotha Sil and Divayth Fyr.

 

Ealdor is also House Telvanni so there are no stipulations on how you achieve your goals.

 

Here's the story:

 

Ealdor gained a lot of popularity among the Daedra, Hermaeus Mora considers him his "Witness" because

he's the only person who has lived long enough to know that Mora's predictions are never wrong.

 

In his reckless youth he became fascinated with the Daedric Princes. Even sneaking into a ritual, the summoning of Nocturnal.

He saw her face (and the rest of her :sweat:) uncloaked and was driven mad by the sight. But aside from the moderately crippling

insanity, he also fell in love with Nocturnal.

 

He was taken to the Shivering Isles, where he taught Earil the chronomancer shopkeep the power to slow time. Sheogorath was

fascinated by Ealdor and his powers, and they became friends of a sort. Ealdor's love for Nocturnal was an endless source of amusement for Sheogorath, as he constantly attempted playing matchmaker and bringing the daedric goddess to speak with Ealdor.

 

In order to be with Nocturnal, who apparently returns his affections, Ealdor must become a Daedric Prince.

 

His plan is that, with the player's help, he will create a Mantella and use it to forge a Counterfeit Heart of Lorkhan, which he

can use to ascend to godhood, as the Tribunal did. The greatest threat, however, lies in Azura (look at all the trouble she went

through last time). Ealdor has a great advantage over the Tribunal, as he exists outside of time, and his power, once gained, will

never diminish.

 

Naturally this would cause quite a stir among the other princes, but with Hermaeus Mora, who is his patron and whose motives are always mysterious, Sheogorath, Peryite, Mephala, and Nocturnal aiding him, either for some personal pleasure or bribe, his ascension should prove fairly smooth.

 

The rewards would be powerful items, a spell or two, but mainly the great Telvanni tower, Tel Odros.

 

After you complete the quest you learn that Ealdor has succeeded by discovering his new shrine. When you talk to his

worshipers you learn he has become Ouroboros, The Void. He is depicted as a dragon eating his own tail because he is eternal.

He is wed to Nocturnal and, as another time-related dragon is occasionally referred to as "the Perversion of Akatosh."

 

Upon discovering the shrine, you are told something very important. With the defeat of Mehrunes Dagon, the other princes declared his realm (the Deadlands) forfeit, and have been busy greedily gathering up followers for the Daedric Civil War which is coming in Part 2 of this mod: Rise of Ouroboros - Crusade

I can do very good special effects on videos. Such as those flames burning the words in some movie trailers with it saying something like "Coming next Summer" or something like that.
