Warfare: The Beginning

Yet again AKkli does nopt enjoy his ride to Ebonheart. Seasickness set in harder this time than the pervious. But much sooner than it feels for him he reaches Ebonheart. He wanders around for a while to recover his land-legs. then checks the sky. About 5:00 PM. Almost night. He heads to the Bar just inside the keep(I can't remeber what it is called). He buys a Brandy and drinks slowly. At about 11:00 he leaves. He walks out Ebonheart frok the north then circles around and heads towards the manor.

 

At about 11:45 he comes over a hill and sees the manor. There are about 6 gaurds pacing back and forth. He stands on the hil for a while and studies their movments than moves around the manor to the south-side. There he times it and finds the break in the guards. He nimbly runs down, scales the wall and jumps over it. Then runs to the shadows just in time for the guards not to see him as they come around the corner. He shimmies along the wall until he comes tot he main building. There is a window about 7 feet about him. Akkli feels along the wall until he finds a smal crack. He sticks his foot in this small indent and pushes up. There was just enought force to get himtot he window. He pulls himself onto the ledge and quietly pushes the windows open.

 

The room is dark. But Akkli could just make out a man snuggled under many blankets despite this summer weather. He slowly moved in and snuck up to the bed. The carefully covered the mans mouth and draws his dagger. THen shacks the man awake. Reca opens his eyes to see Akkkli looking down at him with a dagger drawn. Akkli smiles turns Reca's head tot he side and runs the blade across his throat.

 

With Reca gone Akkli dicides to go check on the family fortune. He heads down the stairs and sees another gaurd in the sitting room. He slowly moves in behind the gaurd and plants his dagger firmly in the man's head.

He then continues down to the vaults. There was a trap door to the basement. HE opened it peeked in then hoped in. Inside was a basic basement. But there was door on the other side of the room. The thin line of light was comeing form under the door. Akkli sighed quietly then move tot he door, put his dagger away and drew 5 throwing knives. He pushed on the door. It opened inside were two people. A man in bonemold and a woman in chitin. THe both jumped to their feet. Akklis knives wizzed and the man fell to the ground woth a knife in his face and chest. the womann grunted as the blade sunk into the her shoulder but she was still able to roll tot he side and avoid the second. As akkli puilled bakc to throw the last she lunged and hit him in the stomach and knocking him down. The knife clattered away. She stood and withdrew a shortsword from her belt. Akkli scrabled tot he side as she cut down. then rolled back and flipped to his feet. The drew his dagger. THey fought, thrust, dodge, slash, back-step. it went on for a good ten minutes before Akkli was growing tierd. He wasn't trained for lengthy full combat. He dicided to end it. He lunged forward and plunged the blade into the momans chest just below the heart. The woman's blade landed in Akkli's upper thigh. She grunted as her life left her.

Akkli withdrew his blade and found his 5 knives then limped over to the vault. He quickly opened it. Inside was a lots of gold. Akkli had been skeptical about Reca being able to pay him 30k. But it appered he could. Akkli grabed a few bags out of the room then filled them with gold, then his pockets and belt pouch. He had collected about 15,000 all and all.

 

He began to walk out but his wounded leg began to burn. He dropped two bags, and continued. The leave the way he came and almost makes it over hte wall but a guard sees him at the last moment. He tries to run up the hill but is to encombered. He dropped to more bags and runs.

He doesn't return to Ebonheart, Instead he heads toward Pelagaid.Bay about dawn he reaches Pelagaid and soon the big-man's cave. H limps tot he door and pauses then knocks. Followed by him yelling, "My name is Akkli I made a deal with your boss. He told me where this cave was, can you let me in? I'm ingared."

Yonard Greyhawk woke up that morning feeling happy, today was his first day of business.

 

He went outside and put up a notice outside his door.

 

Speacial Enchanted Equipment Avaiable for Viewing On Request

 

At exactly 9 O'clock Cacus knocked politely on the door and was let in. Yonard opened his doors to the public at 9:15.

 

Cacus did appear to be a good guard, cautious, but not overzealous.

 

An argonian walked in at about 10:45 and asked to have his katana sharpened for him. It was a fine blade, and Yonard took great care to give it an extremely sharp edge. He threw in a free blade guard and protector just for being the first customer. The Argonian went home happy, and that made Yonard happy.

 

But what he really needed was a large weapons contract, that's what pulled in the money. He had heard of some smuggler's in the area, that were pretty well organized, and he hoped that they would be needing weapons soon.

 

Yonard waited for more customers behind the counter, sometimes talking idlely with Cacus, and sometimes busying himself with dusting and tidying.

I heard the knocking.

 

I remember hearing Boss-man saying something about an assasin named Akkli. I opened the door and ushered him in, leading him to the Telvanni. They immediatley used a sleep spell on him and started trying to heal him.

 

I left a redguard in charge. In fact, he was now a 'Interind'. I have no idea what it means. All I know is that it is below my rank, 'Ringleader'.

 

We were running out of weapons. We were always in a short supply. The new guild hadn't organized a weapon/ armory idea yet, so we still had to get them for ourselves.

 

I went into Boss-man's room. It was now mine actually. All my stuff was moved in there.

 

I put on my armor, to look more important, like Boss-man would have. I went to the vaults and loaded two large sacks with gold.

 

 

I headed up to Pelagiad. I snuck to the new Weaponsmith in town. I had to sneak there, so I would not attract attention.

 

 

 

"Hello." I said to the man behind the corner, dropping the sacks.

 

 

"I have a deal for you...."

Yonard studied the khajjit, nice armour, most likely one of the smugglers. He signalled to Cacus, very discreetly, so the khajjit wouldnt notice. Cacus kept his eye on the khajjit.

 

"What kind of deal?" said Yonard "Weapons?, Armour? Both?"

 

"Here's some paper" said Yonard, as he reached under the counter. "Write down what ya need and i'll give you a price and timeframe."

 

Yonard lowered his voice to a whisper "and no questions asked"

"I like you." I told the man, smiling.

 

I picked up the pen and paper, and wrote down what I needed

 

15 iron longswords

10 iron daggers

10 silver longswords

17 chitin cuirass

10 chitin greaves

10 chitin boots

5 chitin shield

5 chitin helm

5 iron cuirass

 

 

"Here's my down payment." I told him, mentioning the bags

 

"And any extra... Keep it. Just to make sure you remember not to remember."

 

 

I passed him the paper, and waited for him to look it over.

Akkli woke. He was lying on a bedroll in a cave. Argh, his head hurt, where was he? He slowly stood up and looked around. It was begining to come back. He rememebred knowcking on the door, and a khijtt opened then...what then? Oh well, he was in the cave that was what he needed. He looked around his bags were there, as was his dagger. He checked his shirt. knives still there too. He moved over tot he bags and realized his leg was healed. He smiled to him seklf as he lifted the bags onto his shoudler. 2 bags left that was about 7000 gold. THey seemed much ligher than before. He walked over to a place he sayw a ladder. He was on a ledge about 50 from the cave floor. The ladder, or more of a stairwya went all the way down. He decended. Once down he explored he found several other smugglers arouind and a big suprise came when he saw a Telvanni gaurd. He fund the Khaijit's room, and his second-in-command's, and after he knew the cvae well, he left. He took his bags to Pelagiad. He had an old friend there, or he hopes so. SHe was a theives guild operative. A Khajit. He Headed to her house which was hiden benith another's. He went in the uper house and asked to enter J'Rana's home and was let in. He went in and found J'Rana there, he asked her to keep this gold for him and she agreed. Then thanking here Akkli left.

As he was heading back to the cave Akkli past a shop, a smith, he could see through the windows and inside was the khajit incharge of the smuggling. He stopped and when in. Browsed and evesdropped. THe Khajit was buying equipment. He soon selected a fine silver dagger and purcaced it. The startde back tot he cave, but made a deture tot he bar he had previously stayed at. He bought a case of Flin and carryied it out of town. THere he sat on the rock that was the cave and waiterd for the Khajit. He wanted a job.

Yonard looked over the list, glanced at the sacks of gold, peered inside, then looked at the list again.

 

"Come back tomorrow, ill have the equipment in crates outside the door."

 

Yonard paused to hand a silver dagger to another customer, then turned his attention back to the Khajiit.

 

"By the way, would you care to look over my enchanted items?, I'll throw one in free just for doing large business with me---a gesture of my hope to continue business in the future."

 

The khajiit seemed to be thinking it over. Yonard signalled to Cacus to bring the enchantment chest from the downstairs warehouse. Yonard used a key that was around his neck to open it.

 

"Take a Gander." Yonard said as he spun the chest around so the Khajiit could have a look.

I looked in the chest, hunting for a nice bow or dagger. I found a nice silver dagger in there, with a small paralyze enchantment.

 

"Thank you. You can be sure we will have some buisness in the future. Especially if you have more of these." Itold him, patting the new dagger.

 

I slipped the dagger in my belt and headed back towards the cave.

I walked to the cave. Infront of it, with a case of flin by his side, was the man at the door.

 

"Yes?" I asked him, looking the man over.

OOC: hey no prob, that was how i wanted it to be done anyway, there was no way i was gonna write out the enchantments for all the items in the chest.

 

Yonard made a mental note of what the khajiit had just said as he put the chest back in the cellar.

 

he sent for a runner to take the arms contract to seyda neen and then closed up. he headed down to the local tavern for some brandy, and then retired to bed.
