madd mage
due to the theft of my computer i can not participate in modding.... but i did stumble on to a spell in midas magic mod it is a spell which creates a small nuclear blast, picture this the dwarves are back and are p.o. about the destruction of theyre empire so basicly the basic storyline of the mod is that the dwarves begin launching nuclear strikes in oblivion this mod would be huge it would require massive retextures of dwarven ruins from morrowind the hole nine yards it would need corperation of many modders from the forums but if it succseeded it would be totaly epic.... what do you think
David Brasher
I think you would need to get another computer so you could head this group of many modders. It would be interesting to see Dwarves in the game. By some accounts in Morrowind, they really weren't very nice people, and I wouldn't be surprised if they would try to develop powerful explosives to use on their enemies. alonsomartinez
Im pretty sure all the Dwarves died out Want Yagromlf Backalalaba ( the fat guy from Morrowind who was the last known Dwarf ) die ? Their technology only in Morrowind and the Dwemer from Hammerfell I think also died out
David Brasher
My understanding of the lore is that the Dwarfs went away, although it is not for certain. Some event triggered by their technology made all of the Dwarves in Vvardenfell simultaneously disappear without a trace. My understanding is that there were not lots of bones, or charred corpses, or gobs of meat laying around. One minute they were there, the next minute they were not there. They or their descendants very well could be living in some form in some other place.
ub3rman123
I wonder.. Yagrum Bagarn survived because he was out of the plane on a vacation or something.. Would more Dwemer have survived in the same manner?
alonsomartinez
According to him he is the last known dwemer Ah here is the page ! http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Yagrum_Bagarn He is the last " known " dwemer so I guess there could be more but since teh destruction of the heart of lorkhan their technology would be useless
Topazanite
Wait wait, in Morrowind you run into Dwemer Centurions, which are basically super cool steampunk robots that the Dwemer left behind. Therefore, SOME of the technology is still functional. EDIT: I'm working on a Dwemer mod atm. It makes it so the player can build Dwemer automatons for themselves. I'm working on Dwemer creature meshes as a result; let me know if you want to use some for your mod to populate ruins. Also, there's a Lore Creature Pack or something similarly named on the Nexus that has a free-to-use-with-credit Spider Centurion creature, ala Morrowind. ub3rman123
There are also those apparently sentient Dwemer spirits everywhere. Mezelf as well as the one in Tribunal who you give the Pyroil to actually talk.
David Brasher
To me it seems like lots of Dwemer technology functions without the heart of Lorkhan. There are Spider Centurions, Sphere Centurions, and Steam Centurions. You go into the ruins and all of the electrical lights are working. There are steam engines still running. Lots of Dwemer weapons and armor are still functional and still have their special effects. Yagrum Bagarn is the last known living Dwarf because he was away from Morrowind at the time of the event. It is assumed that the rest of the Dwarves are dead or on another plane of existence, but there is the possibility that other Dwarves are living somewhere on the planet of Nirn that were unaffected by the event. They might just live in a remote area. But with their technology, they could be living underground, under the sea, or even up in the sky on a floating island like the one in Vivec City. ub3rman123
So maybe it's just the very complex and psuedo-magical things that aren't working without it, like Akulekhan and some of the gigantic centurion parts you find scattered around, and maybe some of the things in Sotha Sil.
