Uninstalling MMM's Gems & Gem Dust breaks my saves

Hi all, long time listener, first time caller.

 

I've just recently finished cleaning my mod-list of some smaller mods I've not found interesting/useful(testing after each one) because of some regular CTDs I've been having.

Got through most of my list fine, but after removing MMM - Gems & Gem Dust my saves refuse to load. The loading bar doesn't move at all, and after about 15 minutes, it CTDs.

Doing a bit of reading, I found that G&GD conflicts with OOO so I think that might be one of the causes for my persistent CTDs as of late.

 

Even moving the G&GD before OOO.esp makes my saves unusable.

 

Any help on removing this pesky problem would be appreciated.

1 - did you re-build your bashed patch after each and every change?

 

2 - experimentally start a new game with the mod removed - to check if it still works.

1 - Yes.

 

2 - Did so and the tutorial dungeon started with no problems.

Not to sound heartless or cruel but... yes :D ... okay on to business in which that statement will make sense ;)

I've heard of this particular crash before but was unable to fix it previously (like a year or so ago) however I've had some ideas since that last occured for anyone that I'd heard of, and since I never managed to replicate it on my end I haven't been able to test them...

So I'm wondering if you could upload/pm/email (pacificmorrowind<at>gmail<dot>com) the save file (and cosaves if you use OBSE )?

I'm 75% certain that I'll be able to make a Wrye Bash fixer for that particular error.

EDIT: While I was looking; just added your one unknown mod to the BOSS masterlist, the other one is already in (got added fairly recently)
