Need good mod suggestions of all kinds!

Hey all,

 

I have been playing Oblivion on the consoles for years, so I already have a lot of experience with and a deep understanding of the game. Now that I have a computer that can run Oblivion competently, I was hoping you might be able to help me out and recommend a few mods. I have been looking through the Top 100 but there is so much variety that I am feeling a bit daunted by it.

 

Ideally, I'd like a mod that might feature better magic (since I use magic a lot), also a mod that has better character creation faces. Really, any mod you can recommend to "new" players who just got the game, please point me in the right direction! As I say, I have played the game on consoles several times before so now I am looking for a "better" experience with some mods.

 

I'd appreciate any help you could provide!

I suggest FCOM, or if you want to keep it a bit easier Mart's Monster Mod (MMM) and/or Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (OOO).

Thanks, I looked at FCOM at that seems like a mod to enhance archery? If so, I will definitely get that, since I love playing as archer/stealth classes.

 

I could use some suggestions on face/hair/body mods. Right now using the vanilla character creator, I can never make a face I am happy with. I have seen a lot of screenshots of really cool looking faces/bodies so what mods are good for those?

 

Also, if there is any magic mods and mods that add weapons/armor, which ones are good? I'm completely new to the PC version of this game, so really any mod that you recommend would be appreciated!

Making face is all up to you. However, if you want to make it a bit 'easier', you'll have to consider to use any custom race with custom head mesh.
