Ive searched everywhere and am quite p*ssed that it tries to claim the data files of mods downloaded from steam dont exist. Im not an idiot, I know to subscribe and load the game to download and synchronize, so dont even bother.steam community is NO help as usual, everyone there tries to talk down to you like youre mentally disabled without even actually assisting with the problem! My request is simple, For modding purposes I would like to know the location of data files, including meshes, textures, sounds, esp, etc... for mods of skyrim that are downloaded from the steam workshop.

Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/Data. Most people who mod have it in C:/Games/ or simply C:/Steam/ to avoid issues with the Windows UAC, although there are those who just leave it in the default C:/Program Files (x86)/ for some silly reason.

NotMyHome is correct; all Steam Workshop mods must be packed into .bsa format, so if you also want to access the mod's meshes/textures/etc., you'll need something like BSAOpt to open and browse/extract the archive.

THAAAAAAANK YOU. My God this was so much more helpful! nobody mentioned BSAs anywhere else, plus my biggest problem was the freakin esp name wasnt the same as the mod title in the data files screen of the skyrim loader! nor the same as the mod itself. the mod was called lady atronach, but the BSA and esp were called firegirl! this is exactly why i come to the nexus with my problems.
