Major Issue with ENB

I just recently decided to switch over to a regular ENB after using the ENB speed hack thing for the past year (basically no ENB effect whatsoever and just a supposed performance increase) but the issue I'm having is that the ENB is washed out and faded no matter what. Whether I just use the default ENB files or an ENB preset over it, it looks like this:

(in these particular photos, I literally have nothing but the default ENB installed)

and then when I open the ENB control panel and disable the ENB entirely, my game goes back to looking like this:

These photos are taken at like 11:30 in-game time and clear weather (console command: fw 81a). My game is heavily modded, but the only graphics mods I have are the Imaginator, Climates of Tamriel, and possibly some remnants of Realistic Lighting Overhaul (I disabled it in NMM but idk some of it might still be in there).

Any help besides a fresh install (would reaalllly like to avoid this considered how modded my game is)?

I see vanilla on first pictures and turned on ENB on last pictures.

but that's the thing, ENB is first and vanilla (well not exactly vanilla, I've used imaginator to boost saturation and contrast) is second.

My ENB doesn't even look like the vanilla game. It's so much darker and bleaker. Like I said, that pic is taken at noon in perfect weather and everything is still grey.

Post both your ENBlocal.ini and your ENBseries.ini use spoiler tags please.

Make sure this line (from ENBlocal.ini) is set FALSE...>>UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=false <<it should read exactly like that. But still post the files they may need tweaking...:)

here they are but tbh I don't think this is the problem since they're literally the default ENB files that I redownloaded

and like I said, this problem occurs with any ENB whatsoever. they're all just grey. they're definitely registering in my game though because I have access to the control panel and options (that's how I disabled "use effect" and got my game to go back to normal like in the last two pictures). something's gotta be interfering with it, but idk what :psyduck: . I've even uninstalled RLO and COT and tried with a new game save.

Well considering the nearly the entire ENB is disabled ...could be the cause... :smile:

Open the IN-gane menu [shift + Enter] and start turning things ON (second box down )....watch your FPS in the top of the upper BOX.

First you may want to add a Preset (i use Serenity), as the default ENB from ENBdev.com is a little bland.

According to the ENBseries.ini everything is OFF.

The above can all be toggled ON in the game. Turn ALL to True (except the 2 top ones) hows the FPS... :smile:
From the ENBlocal.ini

[MEMORY]
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false <<<IF you have a x64 Bit OS set this True
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true<<,Leave
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false <<,IF ATI and having isues you can try to enable this
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false <<,IF long load times you can try setting this true...usually not needed
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false <<<never enable this.
ReservedMemorySizeMb=64 <<<Common values to try....256, 512, 768, 1024....(1024 IS MAX)
VideoMemorySizeMb=2000<<<,Set this to your ...VRAM + RAM - 2 GB. (10240 ...is MAX 10GB )
EnableCompression=true<<< IF long load times or stutters ....set false
AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false<<<more times then not it get the size wrong , use the Videomemorysize..above instead. (leave at False)
You have NO AA (anti aliasing) running...
[ANTIALIASING]
EnableEdgeAA=false <<<Main AA set True.
EnableTemporalAA=false<<<This KILLS my FPS, newer cards may handle this fine.
EnableSubPixelAA=false <<,OK, watch your FPS
EnableTransparencyAA=false<<<Looks good for me.

Your best bet is to Get a preset from the Nexus...then you can tweak as you like with the info above....Have Fun i loved tweaking my ENB. Learning to Tweak an ENB can be rewarding as you get Exactly what you want .
Edit: Forgot a couple things...Duh...And i usually open the game console (`) so i don't accidentally kill people... :smile: and i told you to use spoilers...hahah (post got massive added spoilers).
