Requires OBSE. v0018 installed

I can't seem to load any mods with OBMM that check to see if OBSE is installed, for this instance I can't use Midas Magic or Realistic Leveling I get an error reading "This mod requires Oblivion Script Extender v0016 or higher and has been disabled" I upgraded from v0016 to v0018 when I started playing oblivion again after getting my new graphics card. I use plenty of mods that require OBSE now and they work fine. Also I have the steam Oblivion and installed OBSE exactly as it says to in the read-me only extracting the steam-loader, editor and obse .dll files. I have v1.1.12 of OBMM.

If anyone has run into or knows how to fix this much appreciation meanwhile I'll continue to work the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.

Also tried searching every way I could think both here and google, couldn't find anything so sorry if there already was a topic addressing this.

Removed this from the script, will edit if it works but it allowed me to install the mod.

IfNot ScriptExtenderNewerThan 0.0.16.0

Message "This mod requires Oblivion Script Extender v0016 or higher and has been disabled." "WARNING - OBSE REQUIRED"

FatalError

EndIf

Does anyone know a real solution for this problem?

Because just removing any OBSE version checking code from any omod that tries to check this is probably not a good solution. :(

It seems to me that there's some issue between Steam and OBMM in that point.

Or is there any way, at least, in OBMM script code to check whether the user is running a Steam version?

Any help appreciated!

Make sure you don't use the Beta versions of OBSE, those will fail the script checks most of the time and generally are not advised to use unless for testing purposes. It's not going to hurt anything by deleting that simple line of script either assuming you really are using the proper version of OBSE, the mod should still function as intended. As for why that is actually happening I'm not sure, unless as I mentioned earlier you are running a Beta version of OBSE or an older unsupported version.
