How do I modify my character's looks?

New to Oblivion, I apparently missed most of the facial modification screens when starting my game. Rather than starting all over again, is there a way to edit my current character's looks?

If it's done with the Construction Set, I'd love a quick how-to load in my character to it so I can edit. Thanks!

Open the console with the [ ~ ] key. Dont close the console during editing.

Type : Showracemenu

The race menu will open, and you can change your face, race and all.

WARNING!! dont hit done, if you do you will gain/lose skills/attributes. Hit Esc instead and hit save. Then reload your game. Enjoy

Ouch! I tried this technique and the changes took, but I soon discovered that most of my advancements since my last level had been reduced to zero. Before the edit, I was able to Summon Scamp, and afterwards, I was told I did not have that ability any more. When I checked my skill levels, they were all near zero.

Okay, if you know your old stats and skill advancements, just try this one.

Open console again, and then you type in:

For stats:

modpcs strength 10

(this is only an example, you have to type the number by which it should increase, off course that works with all other stats too: agillity, personallity, speed and whatever.)

For abillities:

modpca blade 50

(example here again, but you can mod all your abillities, like block, lightarmor, sneak, security and whatever you like. Just type in the number by which it should increase)

I used that to set my stats and abillities back to normal when I once lost them. But don't cheat like that, any fun would be gone! Hope I could help you. ^^

If you followed his instructions properly, that shouldn't happen. Make sure you do not hit done in the race menu, and instead save your game (by keeping the console open and hitting ESC with the race menu up). Then load the save you just made. I've done this and it worked with my character, so it should work with yours as well...
