DidaD
Hello...I'm new to the forum/game. I have ZERO downloadable content, and I'm not currently looking for any mods. What I need help with is patching my game. I HATE Suckurom, and therefore run my game from a no dvd fix. :pirate: Patching the game on Live will just install the DRM again, soooo.... where can I get the patches I need...and BTW...what patches DO I need! LOL I've got plain old Fallout 3 v.1.0.0.12 Can somebody please tell me where to download? and if there are any special instructions I should follow, can you help me there as well? Thanks muchly! Fonger
** SIGH ** Let's hope you are using the Bethesda SUPPLIED no-DVD bypass -- it comes with the regular install from the DVD so . . . 1 - install the 1.7 patch 2 - download and install any of the GFWL killing mods - even a variant of this included with FOSE
bben46
It sounds like you are trying to make this more difficult than it is. :wallbash: Fallout does not need a no DVD bypass - It's actually built into the game. Read the instructions. :whistling: You also do not need to go onto the Live site - unless you downloaded from there, and then there is a simple fix to keep it from going to the site when you play. You do lose the ability to collect the useless 'Live Achievement Points' All of the special instructions for installing patches is included with the download at the official site. The best place to get patches is the official Bethesda Softworks website. A least you know they are clean, they are the right language for your game, they are FREE and nothing has been added or removed - unlike some of the trash you get from a torrent site. :thumbsup:http://fallout.beths...ds/updates.html :pirate: And finally, If you pirated the game - all bets are off and you are on your own. As we do not support people who do not support the game makers.
Remby
Hello, I have the same issue. I own Fallout 3 v.1.0.0.12 and cannot patch without the result of the game locking up at start. All the patches complete the update, and then the program stops responding. I have tried patches 1.5, 1.6, and 1.7 with completely clean installs that ended in the same result. The official patch documentation notes on the Bethesda site are woefully inadequate on this topic. Fallout 1.0.0.12 runs perfect with a great many additional mods and all the DLC on my system. (Windows 7 64-bit, Quadcore, 8 GB, EVGA GTX 285) I do realize the OS is not supported, nor is my intel quad core chip. I have edited the fallout.ini file to only use two cores. (1.0.0.12 works fine with all 4 cores for me) I would love to use FO3 Wanderers Edition, but that requires FOSE which does not support V 1.0.0.12, and as stated, it seems neigh impossible to patch to any version of the game. I have spent the evening reading various forums searching and trying many fixes and have come up no better off than when I started. If anyone has a workaround for patching or knows of a version of FOSE that works with 1.0.0.12 (none listed on their site) please let me know. Thank you Remby
