LadyMilla
After reading a few comments (I have yet to find a complete 'how-to-create-a-new-race' tutorial), I tried to dabble with custom race creation in GECK. I duplicated an existing race as a few posters suggested in other threads (here and on other forums), but after duplicating one of the races I found that many NPCs automatically switched to the newly created race (they were originally African American NPCs). I read somewhere that this issue should be fixed using FO3Edit, however even after removing the African American entry from my plugin file, those NPCs still appear in GECK as if they belonged to the new race. So I'm completely baffled at the moment. What should I do to prevent those NPCs from switching to my newly created race? Even when I duplicated the TestQACaucasian race, those NPCs were still listed under my customer race entry in the NPC section of the Object window in GECK. I've seen that problem before - its some kind of bug in the Geck . in-game, everything is ok. The NPC's that look like they are using the new race are probably NPC's based on templates, right? As long as it's clean in FO3Edit, you should be ok.

Thanks, I removed the unnecessary records in FO3Edit, and my custom race works fine now. This GECK bug is rather annoying (and confusing).
