Relfaine
I am using Surazal's Sexy Dark Seducer and Golden Saint armor mod, and have been for some time. However the other day I was using the Summen Dark Seducer power that you get from Shivering Isles and saw that they had the boring default armor. So I said, "Hey I bet if i get on the construction set and just change her inventory and add the awesome Thunderbird armor to it then that will make her awesome like the other Seducers!" Well needless to say I am a noob when it comes to the construction set and messed something up. So I open up the Dlcshiveringisles.esp in the editor and change the following two Npc's inventorys to include the thunderbird armor SeSummonDarkSeducerFemale, and SeSummonGoldenSaintFemale. I previewed them in the little preview window on the construction set and they appeared in the armor I wanted, but to my dissapointment, the units were instead summoned without any armor, just their shield and weapon. And even more sadly, all the dark seducers and golden saints in the shivering isles have reverted to their original boring armor. Now EVEN SADDER is that reinstalling the mod has no effect on the Dark seducers or golden saints armor. I don't know what I did wrong or where, but any help would be greatly appriciated. It may also be worthy to note that any changes i made to the npc's inventory's even though I know i saved them they would not appear upon reloading the construction set. They would simply vanish and I have no idea why.
Borisman1
maybe some other mods conflict; do you have any other mod that changes their inventory or the items, like one of the thousands 'GS&DS armor playable' mods? Otherwise you could try to change the armor's models instead of adding new items to the inventory of the NPCs.
Relfaine
I don't think it is a problem with any mods conflicting, as they all worked before my ill fated attempt. Im not real certain as to how to change the armor models as I am a modding scrub and have no experience in it. I don't have any other mods that modify or change the golden saints or dark seducers. Any help is still appriciated, I would really like to get this fixxed. If there is any other info or anything I can post that will possibly help remedy this please let me know. Razakel
The easiest thing to do is just change the .nif file associated with the item. So what you do is you open up the CS and go to the mod that adds the armour. Find the armour look at the .nif file it uses and see which folder it's in. (it will be in "Oblivion/Data/Meshes/armor/ -then maybe another folder-" most likely)Then go find the dark seducer/golden saint armour and double click on it. That will open up a window where you can edit the items stats. To the right there will be 6 buttons which identify which models the item will use. Click on the top button and select the .nif file that is attached to the armour you got in the mod. You can change the icons and ground models too if you want but you don't need to. Provided that no other mods you have change what dark seducers or golden saints wear every single instance of them in any mod/spell/etc you have will have them wearing the custom armour. I went to do what you suggested however once I loaded Surazels mod as the active file and checked. That is the method that the mod author has used to change all the armor on the dark seducers, just not the ones on the summoned seducers. However even though those nif files are changed for the armor the seducers still appear in their normal gear, I just don't understand what is going on. Is it possible that I somehow made some changes to either my DLCshiveringisles or Oblivion.esm or something that is preventing these changes from going into effect? Razakel
Ah well I just looked and the reason is that the Dark Seducer/Golden Saint Armours have about 10 different versions each because they show up on a levelled loot item. So you'll need to do that for every version of the armour. Or change the levelled item loot list that the Summoned Dark Seducers/Golden Saints use. Razakel thank you for your continued support, I really appriciate it. I have changed the nif files for all the armor types, but all the seducers and golden saints still appear in their vanilla armor for some reason. Its like none of the changes I make are doing anything. Also reinstalling the mod that originally changed them, (the same one im trying to replicate on the summoned guys) fails to have any effect. Is there any way to like restore my dlcshiveringisles or somethng because I think i must have done something I just dont know what... Thanks again razakel
