xsanreix
Okay, so I've been having this problem for a while, but I managed to resolve it for a while. It's come back again though, and this time the old solution I made doesn't work. The problem is some races (Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Khajiits, and Orcs) don't speak in-game and their subtitles simply display for about 2 seconds before changing. I checked in the CS before and by default, the race voices are set incorrectly;- Breton females: Imperial- Dark Elves: High Elf- Khajiits: Argonian- Orcs: Nord- Wood Elves: High Elf I resolved it before by creating a plugin that switches them to their default values, but this time it's not working, even when I modify the load order. And even if I load ONLY Oblivion.esm in the CS, it displays the incorrect voice settings. So is there any way I can resolve this without re-installing? LFact
Actually, that's correct voice setting: All elves share same voice, and all beast races share same voice. If you change that, you will have problem you've seen. And, check mods you're using. If any mod is in different language, or mess race settings, it can cause the problem. Each race has their own voice category, but they display the category of another race, and by changing that in a mod it resolved the problem the first time, but now it seems to have surfaced again. I've checked for conflicts with OBMM, but when I switch the voice settings to what they used to be, it displays a conflict with Oblivion.esm, which has the races' voices set to a different races' voices. xsanreix
Here's the default (Oblivion.esm) settings for each race I'm having trouble with. Each race has it's own default category, but these ones aren't set to their own voices. I'm sorry if the image is small/hard to read, I'm not allowed to upload the file with it's default size. LFact
As I said, they're the right voices.(Have you noticed all male elves have the same *annoying* voice? Bethesda did not hire many voice actors for every available races, so some races share same voice sets) If you wonder, make a race, then try to assign racial voice. You'll see name of the race you made, but since there's no voice data for your own race, it won't have any voice unless you make data, or assign vanilla race voices. I'd rather check my mods if anything messes up with voice setting(some cosmetic addons, like babe hairs are known for messing with Breton male voice). Using TES4Edit is more reliable to detect conflict.

I'll look into your solution though, thanks~
