knr56
Recently while navmeshing, I have ran into a problem. After placing about 2 dozen triangles that are nicely linked up, I attempt to place another by adding a vertex, selecting that and 2 others and press A. Nothing happens. Two turn yellow and one red (or the other way around). No matter where I place the vertex, I cannot create a new triangle without starting a new navmesh a short distance away. Is this just a shortcoming of the troublesome GECK or am I doing something wrong??

If so, what your running into is the boarders of the cell. Navemesh can't cross from one cell to the next. You'll have to finish the navemesh in each cell then drag all of the vertex's on the edges together. If done correctly when you finalize your navemesh you'll see a bold green line on the borders of the cells, this is just like the green triangle you see that indicates that one navemesh is connected to another. hope this helps chuck
Yossarian22
you shouldn't navmesh exteriors by hand. Use navmesh generation tool, click "generate heightmap only" and generate each cell on its own. Later correct some issues. Here a short info how to link navmeshs of two cells: http://www.ravenmodding.terminal47.net/?p=462>lang=en
knr56
THANK YOU! This is exactly the type of awnser I was looking for! I should have noticed that it was very square...
