Lehcar Posted October 9, 2010 Share Posted October 9, 2010 Is it possible to enable conversations with creatures? Or can you ONLY do that with NPCs... I tried to make a non-hostile skeleton guard for a crypt that you can talk to, I wrote out a conversation for him and everything but in game, I try to talk to him but it doesn't work. ziitch Posted October 9, 2010 Share Posted October 9, 2010 The only thing I can point you to is see how it was done through this or this mod; while it does make it an actual NPC, you will no doubt be able to keep it from attacking the player. davidx4 Posted October 10, 2010 Share Posted October 10, 2010 Yea, I believe having the monster as a race resolves the issue. Basically, from my understanding, if the monster doesn't belong in this class of races, it won't work:http://www.davidjscott.com/misc/races.jpg (minus the Nazgul race) Things outside the race window are not impossible - they just require more work to get them to function. In the above example, I made a Nazgul mod and made a Nazgul race. Despite the Nazgul having no face, mouth, etc. I was able to enter a conversation with him. If I can get a Nazgul to work, I'm sure you can get a skeleton to do the same :). Just make sure the skeleton is at 0 aggression and you've included a "GREETING" topic id containing the skeleton's opening dialog, then talk to the skeleton.
