Serrakoth
i dl'd this horse armor (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15329) and i have the official add on for the horse armor but when i went in to copy in the files where it tells me i noticed that i have no creatures folder...but what i did find is i have a BethesdaSoftworks Archive for the DLCHorseArmor. if i double click it i get a menu with some extraction options and such...in the archive they all have extensions like textures\creatures\horse\armorsteel_n.dds and so on do i have to create the folders to extract each one into since they aren't in my directory already or will they do it automatically once i extract them? LHammonds
The author explained what you needed to do in the description: 1. Copy it the armorsteel.dds and it armorsteel_n.dds files.2. Paste here: Data/textures/creatures/horse It is quite clear that this mod is a texture replacer. It contains a texture file and the related normal map. If you do not have the folder path described in step #2, you create those folders. The DLC is distributed as a .esp and .bsa....and just like the .bsa files that come with Oblivion, they are compressed files that contain many folder paths but you cannot seem them unless you extract the BSA files. When you install Oblivion, you are not greeted with a "Meshes" and "Textures" folder under the Data folder. You have to create these folders to add or replace new models or textures to the game.
