I've been searching tesnexus for days now, yes days, for mods with good medieval style weapons and armor and I'm shocked at how little there actually are. I find modders resources, but I don't know the first thing about modding. So I am asking for anyone out there in the community who would make a great medieval mod, I would be very grateful. I did find a very good resource you could start off with: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20877#fileanchor If anyone decides to take on this idea I would also like to request armor and weapons from the movie Kingdom of Heaven, I think there is some great armor and weapons from that movie and would love to see them in Oblivion :)

FYI - When requesting new models, it would be helpful if you were to do some additional research and be VERY specific about what you want added. Your first reply to links given was that one of the medieval armor sets was something you "didn't really care for" but you didn't explain what the problem was with that set. Why would you be so vague as to what you want and yet still have some particular "idea" of what you want that might disqualify a person's efforts to fulfill your request? Was that mod's textures too grungy? Not high enough resolution? Don't like religious associations? These kinds of questions need to clearly defined if you expect somebody to make something specifically for you. You may not know it but it can take weeks of solid, dedicated work to create a single armor set. Oh, should the armor include a female version? If designed to fit the default Oblivion bodies, should there also be alternative versions for Robert's bodies or HGEC, Growlf, BAB, etc.? The reason I ask is that I saw somebody make a generalized request and somebody took that and made an armor set as requested but then said after-the-fact that they wanted the female version. DoH!

That first mod that I didn't really care for is a good mod, don't get me wrong, but I'm not a big fan of the Templars, I should have made that clear in the first place :confused:

 

As to the mod request: What I would really love is a full set of Ibelin Knight armor from the movie Kingdom of Heaven and the Sword of Ibelin from the same movie. Below are pictures of the cuirass/surcoat and the sword. I don't expect exact replicas, but that would be cool :)

Edit: I just noticed that the "bands" on the handle of the sword are supposed to be gold

I have all the Realsword mods and I am gonna download the first Excalibur mod you posted. The others are great mods, the people who made them did excellent work, but I like my weapons to not be super fancy, I like the blade to be a normal, straight blade, basically the only thing i like fancy is the hilt of the sword :P another thing I should have made clear from the beginning

Edit: oh and I like the scabbard to look really nice too, but plain at the same time... ah now I'm confusing myself :P

 

Edit: I do have the Kingdom of Heaven Odo Sword mod

I got green light from theRoadstroker to retexture his templar armor. I finish male version, i have to finsh female.
