AlduinWorldEater
A complete overhaul of Alduin, Parthurnaax, and possibly Odahviing, as described in the following text: At the Throat of The World, we meet Parthurnaax, master of the Greybeards, a great, shining dragon, regal but time-worn, with the wisdom of many ages past in his eyes...as Kyne's representative on Nirn, he stands tall, glorious and good. He sends us on a task to retrieve the Elder Scroll, that we may learn a shout to rip dragons out of the air and bring them crashing to the ground. A dark, threatening roar suddenly pierces the tranquil silence of the mountain top. Wing beats that shatter the air begin to grow louder, and louder still. Enter Alduin, the World-Eater, Bane of Kings. A black-winged leviathan, hellbent on destroying all that lives, with eyes that burn like the deepest flames of Dagon's Badlands and great razor-teeth that glimmer red with the blood of those unfortunate enough to cross paths with him. Having sensed the use of the Elder Scroll, he rushed, furious, to the source of its activation. His wings blot out the sun, and his breath sears the ground, blackening the rock and stone...only Parthurnaax seems immune to the terror he emanates. The battle commences. We beat Alduin senseless, for we are the chosen of Akatosh, the great Dragon of Time, and he retreats, battered and broken but alive, to Sovngarde. Now, we have to follow him...but how? Where has exactly has he gone? How do we get there? Parthurnaax calmly responds to our unspoken frustrations, giving us the name of one who may yet help - Odahviing. Fast-forward to Dragonsreach. On the massive balcony out back, Balgruuf's men have hesitantly oiled up the long-unused dragon trap in your name. You call out - "Odahviing! I challenge you, wyrm!" Unable to resist, Odahviing swoops in. He's not as big as Alduin or Parthurnaax, but he's sure as hell no less threatening. We trap the great beast, and he tells us - Alduin has retreated to Skuldafn, an ancient fane reachable only by sky. He agrees to take us. Skip to Skuldafn. We've cleared the place of draugr and dragon, and slain Nahkriin. The portal lies ahead. We lunge in, and are transported to Sovngarde, the realm of the dead. We make our way through, gaining assistance for the final battle along the way. We clear the soul-snaring mist, and Alduin descends. He's still visibly injured - a shell of what we last encountered - but we're in his world now. Basically, I'm suggesting completely new models for at least two of the three named dragons we encounter in the story itself (Sahloknir aside). Bigger beasts that truly fit their roles in the tale of the Last Dragonborn...although as far as Odahviing's concerned, the Thanatos Dragon mod pretty much takes care of him for me. I can't even begin to provide images for Alduin & Parthy, but I can at least describe it: Alduin - a leviathan-sized dragon, with glowing red eyes and jet-black scales that shimmer with an unholy iridescence. Wings as black as the Void, and a body covered in blade-like spikes. Parthurnaax - a great, shining dragon, who glows like the light of Akatosh himself...perhaps feathered wings? Maybe?...and the wisdom of all the years he's spent in meditation reflected in his eyes.
