raeynedrop
So, is this a problem other people face? I have no scars in the slider. I downloaded the game around December 27th; so it was over a month since release and since whenever they first patched it. It's not a -huge- deal, but it would be nice to have access to them x(. My assumption is that either something went wrong with the installation, or it's the settings of my graphics-- which are on high. If it's the second case, do I need to be running on ultra to use them?
Thandal
Like "Hair", or "Eyes", "Scars" are a completely separate area to customize. They are not part of the "Skintone" or "Complexion" selections. (NOTE: I'm still getting used to the fact on many screens that have a long list of player-selectable choices, only a few (4-6) appear on-screen even though there's plenty of room for lots more. I keep forgetting to scroll down to see the "other" possibilities.)
raeynedrop
I'm not sure what you're trying to say? I know they're in separate categories; but in the scar slider itself, I see nothing. It gives me the option of scrolling through, but the scars aren't visible-- even on max capacity and when I play around with the positioning. I have everything else, they're just the only thing missing.
NaatalieN
From what i know this is a problem from a older patch..is your game up to date? There is a quickfix, because, if your scars and freckles are gone and your hair is superduper shiny again it's a shader problem...but if only the scars are gone i suppose its a bug maybe? o_O
raeynedrop
It should be. What's the current version number? And my hair isn't that shiny; but I'm not running on ultra so everything isn't as polished as it could be. Also... freckles? I see freckles and moles in the skin complexions, but no option for freckles. Is there a slider for freckles xD? I MUST KNOW! Because if there is, I'm being denied the freckles, too. NaatalieN
well its more the skin option..thing..hehe....need frecklemod......o-o. well, try this; in your origins, rightclick your game and select properties, in the box that comes up type in -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel ultra/hard/normal/low depending on what you have in your mesh settings. This did work for a friend of mine when his scars went kapoof. :> and if it doesnt or if it would cause any problems just open properties again and remove it. Deleted15196529User
I had this problem too. I took me a while to figure out what it was but found somewhere its a patch bug because somehow they used setting from the consoles for pc patches ^^ smartasses (not sure if its true because it sounds kinda weird)Update your game to 2.5 patch and it should be solved, atleast it did for me. I never had the problem for shiny hair even running the game in ultraWhat NaatalienN said should works too  but updating was less of a hassle for me  its just options gone wrong in the patch is all ^^
raeynedrop
Lol, no luck. Game's up to date and the input didn't work, Naat. Thanks, guys xD. It has to be something on my end. I'll figure it out one day.
DementedSheep
You say your graphics are set to high, dose that include the setting of mesh quality specifically? because scars only appear if that option is on high.
Thandal
@rogoand; Use the "Mod Request" forum for this. Oh, wait. You already did. Cross-/double-posting the same request is not allowed on the Nexus.
