hum HP motherboard, no wonder I couldn't find anything on ASUS's website about it :P You said you did set Init Display First (or something along those lines, BIOS can be different, especially with the pre-built ones) to PCIE correct? What model is your HP? Could possibly find more info with that :)

Yes in BIOS I set it to recognize the PCIE first. I have an HP Pavilion a1214n (Yeah I know its getting kind of old). Thanks everyone for tryin to help, I have googled so many times tryin to find this but there really isn't much on the new card I have.

Nah my other computer is currently in Oklahoma and the other computer we have is a new all-in-one touchscreen. I thought about taking it to Best Buy to see if they can get it to work, but I really would rather not spend a few hundred more or whatever it may be for them to install it.

yikes lol...can't find a fricking manual lol...OEM motherboard...

Hmm it should work if it's set to PCIE, that's odd. Is there an option to allow how much RAM the integrated video can have? Looking at the specs, it takes 128MB of your RAM. Maybe you have to set that to 0 or something...

And here from HP:

specs of your computer :)

Lol yeah Im tellin you there barely anything about the specific computer I have or the card. Some get close but aren't the exact one... I think I saw somethin about setting the integrated cards RAM. Yeah and see the computer should work with the card all it needs is a PCIE slot, 300 Watt or greater power supply, and 1GB of system memory. Also it needs to be on Windows 7, Vista, XP, or XP Media Center Edition... When it says XP does that mean all XP? I think I have XP Pro SP2.... And if thats the problem, man Im going to be so mad. Im pretty sure the Best Buy guy told me it will work...

the one I looked at said
PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard
  • 400 Watt or greater power supply recommended
  • Certified power supplies are recommended. Refer to http://support.amd.c...es/listing.aspx for a list of Certified products
  • Minimum 1GB of system memory
  • Installation software requires CD-ROM drive
  • DVD playback requires DVD drive
  • Blu-ray™ playback requires Blu-ray drive
maybe you should create a back up of your hard drive an then upgrade to sp3 I doubt it would work but you never know
