Tears of the Savior issue

Me again. Same character, same system, different issue. On the Tears of the Savior quest, I have found the Frostfire glade, and have found two of Garridan's Tears. But all the other tears I can see are trapped in the glacier that Garridan and the Frost Atronach are in. Is there a way I can deal with this, or is this quest basically unfinishable for me?

brave the cold and walk on the glacier

 

Frosty isn't trapped within the glacier unless you have a mod that changes everything

 

so . . . this leads to the conclusion that the tears aren't 'inside' the glacier, but simply within its boundaries.

No, I am standing at the edge of the massive chunk of ice in the center of the grotto, which I cannot get inside of, I look inside and I see the figure of Garridan fighting the Frost Atronach, and I look at the ground and I see the tear at Garridan's feet. Again, this is on the PlayStation3 Game of the Year edition of the game, if that means anything. I don't know if this was a glitch or what, I just want it fixed.

1 - trick from other Bethesda games - stand there and get yourself killed - let the game reload and see if it works better

 

2 - find an essential NPC - kill them with a one blow single hand sneak attack - often resets scripts - or is otherwise satisfying

 

3 - turn off your console - allow it to cool down - try again

 

4 - get creative on finding ways to relieve your frustration because there isn't a lot you can do --- consoles are designed to be unmodable --- most people rent a sledge hammer at this point.
