travelsizegirl Posted October 17, 2010 Share Posted October 17, 2010 First, I'm very new to this, so please be nice. :) I followed the 4 part video about how to install mods, but obviously, it is a little outdated, so some things needed to be adjusted. I used FOMM to create FOMods, which I think I did properly. The problem I am experiencing is that my game crashes at the menu screen. It just shows me the background of the guy in the gas mask looking thing, but doesn't load my menu options, and doesn't give me a cursor. I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL out and I have a message waiting for me that the game has crashed. I'm listing my load order. I do not have any of the DLCs. I'm on Windows Vista. If you know what I'm doing wrong or can help me, please let me know! Explanations of why certain things are wrong are also appreciated. Like I said, I'm very new at this, so what seems simple and obvious to you, is all still Greek to me. ;) Also, is it safe to just get rid of all the DLC stuff I obviously can't use, like FO3 Wanderers Edition - DLC Anchorage.esp, for instance?
