Bsum82
Hi Everyone, I am a Fallout noob and a mod noob. I have about 5 mods in the mod manager, but I have no idea if they are even working in game. Furthermore, my Fallout NV crashes my PC multiple times a day. Yesterday it crashed my PC about 10 times. It is really frustrating and killing the game for me. Any help would be much appreciated. I read some kind of Mods for beginners thread here and it was like reading Chinese. Bsum82
So, I just installed NVSE and it came up in console as version 4 so it is in there. Now I need to figure out how to launch FLNV with NVSE.

Bsum82
So thanks for no one responding, you're all extremely helpful and awesome! Here is something I found on the Steam forums which seems to be doing well so far. I hope it helps someone with the same issue. Still don't know if the Mods are working on my game, I get some gore from smaller animals like wolves, geckos, scorpions where the limbs are flying off, but none on bigger enemies. As far as the sound loop crashing, this is a fix that has helped so far I have not had a sound crash since I implemented these. "I managed to solve this problem by turning off all special DSP options (EAX) in my sound card driver software. This option was called EX mode in my software, I think it is called GX in Asus Xonar products, and probably EAX elsewhere. Turn it off and you should stop getting sound looping. That seemed to be the silver bullet, but I also reduced crashing by editing Fallout_default.ini inSteam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas and changingbUseThreadedAI=0 tobUseThreadedAI=1 and then adding the following to a new line below it:iNumHWThreads=2"
