Guest deleted1497950
I recently downloaded the "ultimate 3rd person camera" mod through obmm and never got it to work right, and so I subsequently deactivated it and deleted it, but now my camera for the vanilla oblivion sits too high so that my character is not centered, and the shooting (from the bow and arrow) is essentially unworkable, making the game either unplayable or highly unenjoyable. I later uninstalled and reinstalled the game as fully as I know how, even deleting all of my saved games and losing all of that, but the problem persists. It is extremely aggravating. I am afraid it altered something in the registration or something but I am not that technically knowledgeable. I know it altered the .ini file for the game. It said it would restore it to normal, which it may have done, but it did not fix it. Please help if you can. TIA

Guest deleted1497950
experimentally delete the oblivion.ini in your game saves area Thanks, I did that, but still no change. I've tried deleting it in both my documents file and in the normal programs file. I've also tried manually editing it on the line which the mod changed (the focus line changed from 2.1 to 20 for the mod, I think). I've also tried changing that line randomly but I see no change no matter what I do there. I thought sure that completely reinstalling oblivion and obmm would restore it to normal but it didn't and now it's very frustrating. I know that a general uninstall doesn't delete all of the scattered pieces, but I don't understand why a fresh install would still carry the problem. It's not like it changed the contents of the disc or anything. How likely is it that this would have affected the registry? How would one do a thorough uninstall to get rid of all of the remnants and start COMPLETELY over if the problem is not in the registry, if that is my resort now?
