This is my favorite gun to shoot because it cost me 200$ and I can buy 550 rounds for 20$ (used to be 10$) and ammo is so light you can literally carry thousands of rounds.

 

It is a very popular and easily modifiable plinker. I would love to get to play with it within the fallout world if anyone with the skill/interest can create it. I think with the synthetic stock and stainless barrel it could probably last a long time. About the .22lr (which is already in game) is that it has a very high mortality rate because rather then shattering bone it bounces around inside puncturing everything. So someone shot with a .22lr might seem alright for the first day and be dead the third day. Maybe a low damage/crippling high DOT effect? Its useful range perfectly suits itself to the range of the fallout world. Unlike the Hollywood science of "silencing" a .50 or 7.62 nato these can be nearly silenced.

I know I so want a Ruger 10/22 in Fallout NV. Set it up with 10 round flush mags then extended 25round mags, a suppressor, synthetic stock, and the same scope they have on the AR, varmint, or the 44mag lever action (can never remember the name of that thing). Would be an awesome gun for playing on realistic.

 

I also have one and love it. I have it set up with a 4x scope, bi-pod, bx-25 mags, and Hogue stock.

Shoot it all day long and never get tired of it.
