Stiejen Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Plz help me decide, what are the pros and cons of each? Or is one just the upgrade of the other?
Smooth613 Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Both are the same interface, it's just adding different skins to the UI. Go ahead and download the Dark version since it includes the original skin also. Then you can search around and find multiple skins by others. Just search until you find one you like and install it. Or you can do like I do and make a BAIN installation package with every skin, loading screen, and map combination available. This way you can switch skins, maps, loading screens, etc.. at any time without ever uninstalling or reinstalling the entire package. A few clicks and you can change your entire UI in a matter of seconds. Here I'll link you to some great work by Psymon. It contains many custom BAIN packages he made. You cannot download the BAIN archive directly for permission reasons with each mod included, but nothing is stopping you from creating your own BAIN packages with all the mods. Here is the DarkUI'd DarN Deluxe Package he made up. Read up on This thread, BAIN Mod Installation Projects comprehensive instructions from beginner to advanced to learn and understand what BAIN is and how it works.
Stiejen Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 phew, i finally get it. Thx for all the extra info
luxwing0go Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 When I added Darnified, not everything showed up and the fonts would overlap each other. When I used DarkUi'd Darn (1.6), the OMOD version, everything was easy like Sunday Morning. But, this is just personal experience.
