kylok
Hey guys, didn't see a thread about this so here goes; I've always been experiencing random crashes with Unique Landscapes (pretty much 100% sure that this is what's causing them - they happen when fast traveling and traveling in the main Cyrodiil outdoors cell) so I figured I'd update it today. Said and done, updating load order with BOSS, rebuilding bashed patch, etc. But guess what; no change. Well, there was one change; an actual error message instead of just dead freezing. I'll just paste the message here, in case anyone can make any sense of it: OS: Workstation, No ServicePackCPU: GenuineIntel, Intel P6 (Model 14), MMX @ 2800 MHz Application Trigoras
Does the crashing occur near every Unique Landscape areas, or only certain ones? What has happened to a test file once was what seemed to be a corrupted spawner, and everytime I went near that area it resulted in a crash, my fix was using the "Remove Save Game Bloat" option from Wrye Bash, but make sure you keep a backup of said save just incase. The load order doesn't look bad I think, but I'm not familiar with any of those "Vwalk" files in the load order, and you can remove "UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp" and activate it through the bashed patch if you wanted to. Hopefully this will help :)
Hickory
First of all, you don't have all of the UL patches. Go through them carefully, taking into account what mods you have, and install those first. Next, consider that Salmo The Baker is a known CTD culprit, so try removing or temporarily disabling that. Edit: Also, turn off 'save on fast travel', as that can cause problems on heavily modded setups.

Trigoras, I suppose the game crashes pretty much everywhere outside of cities now and then, but I would say that the crashes definitely are the most frequent in UL-areas. Good examples include the areas around Anvil, Chorrol, and Bravil, which I've learned to avoid or pretty much quick-save every time before entering. BTW, tried the bloat remover, didn't help. :( Patches downloaded and BOSS-sorted, Salmo disabled. No effect really. Played for 3-4 hours today and got CTD's pretty much everytime I entered the areas mentioned above. Something strange that might be worth mentioning, is that the areas work fine after restarting the game. For example, I fast-traveled to the Forlorn Watchman camp after having played for a while. Followed him north, game crashes pretty much as soon as I set foot on mainland and the game starts loading the UL-related stuff there. Luckily, my mighty foretelling instincts had given me a hint about this, so I quicksaved before; reloaded this after restarting the game, and no crash this time whatsoever. This leads me to thinking this might be a RAM-issue. That would mean the game's memory cache (or whatever the proper name is) is overloaded and causes the game to crash? Since logically this would be reset as the game is, and that would explain the above Watchman instance... This is wierd though because I'm running this on a 4 GB RAM rig<.<
AlfredTetzlaff
Hi, are you running Quarls Texture Pack by any Chance? QTP really made my Game extremely crashhappy. You might want to have a look at this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32405 for RAM related stuff. and this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23208 might also help, needs a little experimenting with the ini settings though. Hope this helps a bit

Hope this helps a bit I am indeed running QTP3... That's sad to hear. I really love these beautiful textures :( If I wanted to change back to the original textures, I would have to reinstall, right? As for the mods, I actually just tried something similar to the first one the other day, can't really remember what it was called but it did the same thing; 2gb max RAM usage > 4gb. Haven't really noticed any changes crash-wise. I've got Stutter Remover installed for a couple of days as well, but haven't really changed anything in the .ini. I might try that. Thanks. It's kinda funny that a 4 years+ old game (modded, but still...) can do that XD
Nadimos
I feel with ya fellows. Anyway you dont have to necessarly completly screw over with QTP3. For one there is the redimized version of it and then on top of that there is the redimized lighter version, which comes in three files. I havent got the links right now, but i am sure you can find them yourself by giving the search a try. Good luck! Other performance tweaks i have installed: Quiet Feet MaxLow Poly GrassShort Grass (there is also middle sized version, which looks quite nice)
