I've been trying to add custom spells and powers to the vampire lord favorites/ability menu however it does not seem to be working. I'm hoping somebody has some pointers for me or can steer me to what I am doing wrong.
Here is the current process I'm using:
  1. In Creation Kit, loading an existing spell mod (Colorful magic to be exact).
  2. Duplicating a spell and modifying it for 'left hand'
  3. Adding duplicated spell to formlist 'dlc1campirespellspowers'
  4. Save
  5. Open Skyrim, add spell via console commands
  6. Transform into VL

However, I am still not seeing the spell?

The only thing I can think of is that I have Better Vampires and Royal Bloodline, which change the Vampirelord formlist...however I have created a bashed patch.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

First thing would be to test without the other mod active.

That formlist gets processed by the Skyrim game engine, so it may or may not allow script modifications. That would be my next test.

Thats a negative buddy. I've even tried adding a spell to the formlist on royal vampire (seeing as that is a mod which already modifies the vampire lord spell list with new spells).

Still no dice. The VL spells added by Royal Vampire still show up but still no sign of my new spell.

Do I need to do anything with modifying the perk tree?

Also, for a bit more information...I'm using "addspell" CC. Maybe I should try "equipspell" instead?

Addspell should work. Everything I know about this is actually based ona tutorial that somebody posted on this very forum several months ago. I would suggest searching for that and maybe contacting the OP directly. I've never done it myself so I'm only passing along hearsay.

Are you referring to the thread posted by Scarlettblaze? I've seen that thread and actually did what they said. I'll take your advice and contact scarlett directly. Thanks for your help
