KrappyKarnage
I was trying different ENB presets and one of them had an annoying letterbox effect (Saraan Su'um). I changed the ENB preset to PureVision and then to RealVision but the letterbox effect is still there even though I used the NMM to install those presets and did not have letterbox checked. I assume there's something in skyrimprefs or enblocal that I have to change manually, does anyone know exactly what it is I'm looking for, or another way to turn this off? I didn't see anything in the in-game enbmenu.
ForgottenB
Open enbeffect.fx and disable it manually:#define HD6_VIGNETTE change to: //#define HD6_VIGNETTE
KrappyKarnage
Thank you for the timely response but I still have a letterbox effect. I really hope I don't have to reinstall everything from scratch.
KrappyKarnage
I even get the letterbox effect if I turn off all ENBs.
Nozzer66
Have you checked your settings in the skyrim launcher? Open up that and have a look at what screen resolution is set at.

Open up that and have a look at what screen resolution is set at.You're right. In Skyrim launcher when selecting 16:9 aspect ratio, and if monitor is let's say (4:3 , 5:4, 16:10) it will add letterbox.Just change resolution and aspect ratio to whatever your monitor native aspect ratio is. KrappyKarnage
It's a part of the Saraan Su'um ENB. The menus and everything aren't letterboxed, just the gameplay. In fact, the health/mana/stamina bars are displayed where the black bars are. I really don't understand why anyone would think such a thing is a good idea, but Saraan Su'um is the culprit. I just can't turn it off now.
Nozzer66
A possible quick way to do it would be delete everything from your Skyrim directory that has ENB or .fx in the file name. Also go to your documents and delete your RendererInfo.txt. Then reload the ENB you actually wanted. As for the letterbox, some people find it useful for things like Screen caps etc.
aglorius
Make sure your iheight and iwidth settings in your skyrimprefs.ini match your native screen resolution.
