FatefulxIkkou
First off i have over 1500Hours playing Fallout 3 on the xbox and recently decided to move to the pc for an "Enhanced" experience now ive been playing for about a month now and ive had mods installed and running with no problems until recently.I had to uninstall "Everything" as i was going to be selling my computer and then decided not to. So i re-installed Fallout 3 and have been having a major crashing issue for a few days. Now the issue is as follows: I will load the Launcher and click play, then menu loads and i click either "load" or "New Game" either way it crashes saying: Fallout 3 has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close and notify you if a solution is found Now i will list the things i've done to try to resolve this issue obviously to no avail: *1. Uninstall all mods and restart game - Failed*2. Uninstall and Reinstall without mods - Failed*3. Updated Driver for Graphics card - Failed*4. Running game in XP Compatibility Mode - Failed*5. Reinstalling Windows - Worked for 3-4Hours then - Failed*6. Screaming at top of lungs and banging on keypad - Failed *NOTE: I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game and its related DLC over 5 Times now trying to get this to work via different procedures and failed.Short of Option Number 6 i have no idea how to fix this so now i will list my computer specifications: OS: Windows 7 64-Bit Home PremiumCPU: AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 3.2GhzGPU: Asus ENGT240 1GB DDR3RAM: 2GB 1333Mhz DDR3HDD: 500GB Western Digital CaviarMOBO: Asus M4A785TD - EVO I have posted Pictures related to the problem above this may or may not help.#1: #2: If anyone can enlighten me with any new ideas please feel free to post a reply, If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. Fonger
you haven't told us if you have taken steps to insure that this is not simply a UAC issue you haven't told us if you have deleted your fallout.ini in your game saves area
modsrkool
same thing happens to mine -.- i swear why can't they just make a patch and fix this! instead they just create new vegas and leave us in the dust.. we need a patch that removes all these start up glitches and all the crashes.. westernnomad
I had the same problem on my first installation 3 days ago. I resolved the problem first by downloading the update from a third party site, because the bethsoft update patch is corrupted - downloading only 37 of 52 megabytes. Then you'll have to install microsoft live games - there's a link for that in support.bethsoft.com. Hope this helps.
