homegrownkorn
I always thought it a little weird that I cannot see people behind bushes and what not but everyone else can see me. I haven't played the farcry games before the 3rd but I know in 3 and 4 you can hide in bushes and what not, unless of coarse they are right on top of you. I tired to google it 1st but nothing popped up so I thought I'd bring it up here. Let me know if there already is a known mod if there is? Thanks for reading. homegrownkorn
So I've decided to download the creation kit and watch some tutorials. While watching these tutorials I've been trying to think of ways to try to get this to work. One way I thought of was maybe trying to make a script. Like say if the game detects that I'm in a bush, maybe specific foliage, then I gain an active effect like chemeleon or become invisible. Then lose it when I leave. Another thing I was thinking of is the same way how you hide in the shadows. Just have however that works applied to foliage, whether specific foliage or all depending on the height of it. I'm definitely a noob at mod making so I'm not sure how far on this I will get by myself, or should someone decide to tackle this if I will be of any help. Just got some ideas. I feel like a magikarp just learning tackle and not sure what to do with it. If I happen to progress in this I will update. If anyone knows how to make this happen let me know and maybe I can try to make this happen or unless said someone can do it themselves. Either way thank you for reading. Meisenbach
Yeah, CC is super hard to learn. I can't even make an armour mod. But I'd also suggest maybe having bushes increase your sneak by 100 and make it 100% better until you're out. And then maybe try to allow characters to detect arrow trajectory to balance it, as an MCM option.
lofgren
This also bugged me. I just want to point out one CK option for you: the perk entry point option "Mod Detection Light" can be used to reduce the effect of light on stealth detection. I was able to use this option to add a perk that would greatly increase the player's ability to hide in plain sight in natural environments. For me personally, that was sufficient to evoke the feeling of camouflage. If you can figure out a method to detect if the player is surrounded by foliage, you might be able to use this entry point to allow the player a bonus to avoid being seen by NPCs nearby. Or even where it is located so I can look at it myself? I am personally liking the idea of adding the same concept of sneaking into the shadows to foliage. At this point I'm just learning basic modding, like creating a dungeon or making a follower, so far at the moment I'm pretty clueless. lofgren
Light detection is controlled by several game settings and modified by perks that use the Mod Detection Light entry point.
