Fallout New Vegas Launcher can't detect esp,esm (etc) files, other

So, i downloaded a mod, threw the esp file in the Data folder, opened the launcher, clicked on data files, and...nothing.

My Fallout NV launcher just...can't detect esm,esp (etc) files other than the FalloutNV.esm

So, I can't install mods... Why is this happening? I don't know if this is a stupid question...and i don't know if the solution to this is simple and obvious as hell...or if the only person that have this problem is me...

But please, help me. :(

I am also having this same problem, I am still looking into figuring out why this is happening.

maybe, if you gave us the list of the files you have in your data Folder, we could help you, otherwise we can't.

what steps have you taken to insure that this is not simply a UAC issue

it's not, since Fallout doesn't need to write on those file, Fallout don't get Annoyed by UAC.

UAC don't Care if you read file that you can't. but will if you try to write were you can't.
