megageeklizzy
I would like to ask if anybody here would be able to fix the blocky shadows on characters' necks. If the faces didn't look so good, I might be able to ignore it, but it was one of the first things I noticed about 200 in-game hours ago when I started. I plan to record my next playthrough and put it on youtube, but it pains me to do so with the shadows as they are now (I know this sounds dramatic, but it really breaks the immersion). If anybody can fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.Alternatively, if someone can send me the UV/bmp/whatever texture overlays they use for lighting, I can fix it and send them back. I don't want to download the 'creation kit', lest I risk the wrath of even more issues from Bioware(I also don't download pirated stuff: I know, I'm pathetic). Thandal
Sorry I can't help with the issue. But I can tell you there's no "Creation Kit" for the FrostBite3 engine, legitimate, or otherwise. What mods are being made (CheatEngine, DAI_Tools, etc.) are allowed/allowable by EA as long as they don't involve changing the way MP works. megageeklizzy
I'm referring to the modding tools that are here on nexus...I know there is one that allows you to change the textures. If it really isn't against EA's rules (I might actually read the user agreement...), I'll do it myself. Thanks.
Thandal
@megageeklizzy; Yes, I meant that, (AFAIK) it's fine by EA. And (again, AFAIK) there are not yet any modding tools for DA:I hosted here on the Nexus. There's a growing collection of mods that were authored by the team working on the DAI_Tools project, but they host their actual tools on SourceForge. That may be the one you're thinking of... megageeklizzy
Yeah. I just got it, and I'm getting ready to download gimp to edit the texture. I think I see where the neck is, but I'm not really sure. Guess I'll find out.
Thandal
Well, Good Luck with that! I wish all DA:I modders the best. Since DICE hasn't deigned to provide the Community with a Toolset for FB3, it's up to us to do the best we can.
megageeklizzy
So...I have everything I need to mod textures, now. Can't find people's necks. Any ideas? They don't seem to be attached to the head or to the main nude texture.
