It really kind of is when you consider how many mods regular pistols get. The pre release trailers, trade articles, shows, etc... really made it out to be a big encompassing system in the game, but instead it seems more as an afterthought. many weapons have no mods, many more have only 1 or 2, and many are really poor ideas. Why would i want to mod my.44 mag by spending 500 caps on a scope, when i can have the more powerful hunting revolver which already has a scope? why is the only night scope available exclusively on a weapon thrown away relatively soon? I remember a buddy and i were watching G4, and while talking about the mod system, they show a clip of the player using a machine gun grenade launcher. We said to each other "cool, we can make an automatic grernade launcher"! then of course, the reality is that the machine grenade launcher exists with no modding it, in fact, no mods exist for it. Honestly, i feel a little decieved by the mod system as it exists, and hope a good "mod mod" comes along in the future. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
