The Bonds of Matrimony Quest CTD

​Hey all.

So I recently installed the mod "Marriable Serana" from the Nexus and have proposed to her with the Amulet of Mara and all that jazz, and went to speak with Maramal about arranging the wedding (who is for some reason stuck in the Bee and Barb.) I get to the part in the dialogue where Maramal tells me that the wedding will be held from dawn to dusk, and where the objective to 'attend your wedding ceremony' is supposed to pop up, but my game just crashes straight to the desktop.

I thought I'd be sneaky and use the console to type in setstage RelationshipMarriage 30 to bypass the crash when talking to Maramal, which worked for a second: the 'attend your wedding ceremony' objective popped up without crashing the game, but a couple seconds later the game crashed anyway.

I don't have any other marriage mods and no other mods that affect Serana's scripting other than "Marriable Serana" and the "Serana Dialogue Edit" so I don't know why this is happening. Could my save just be screwed? Is there any other console work-around that I don't know about, i.e. a setstage value to end the marriage quest without actually attending the ceremony? Thanks for any help in advance.

UPDATE: It seems that marriage is completely bugged, the same thing happens no matter who I try to marry, so the problem is with marriage; what it's caused by, I still don't know.

I know I have a crap-ton of mods and that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later, but believe it or not my game was working just fine until this marriage bug happened.

i see that you have the alternate start mod and i had the same problem with maramal not leaving the bee and barb all you have to do is start the main quest by going to helgen. and then go up to the part where there are dragons roaming skyrim i think its called dragon rising but idk. then maramal will start preaching if you go into the bee and barb and then leave to the temple and then it should work fine

Thanks for that, I hadn't thought about starting the main quest yet, but it worked; Maramal did his preaching and left to the temple...

 

...But the same crap happened again. It appears to be an issue specifically with going from Stage 20 to Stage 30 in the quest, perhaps the scripting for where the NPCs go for the ceremony is messed up...how would I be able to fix that?

Nah she's with me, I tried doing the quest with her following me and without, but she's not getting stuck anywhere.

 

As far as I know every NPC that is involved in the quest isn't stuck either, so I don't know what else it could be...

I know this is a necro bumb but I am running into this problem. Any solutions?
