I Don't like steam all that much, for instants you can only install the game where you installed steam, unfortunately its on my C drive and i would love to have installed it on my ssd without having to move "steam" everywhere the game goes, sigh.

True probably all the third app partys mine info during play, but I can bypass GFWL with a little creativity. I tried it with Steam for FOW and the game would't run without the dlls intact. :wallbash:

Yea it's not exactly hard to bypass GFWL. Hell you could buy a 5$ game use that key to get online but I think M$ patched that now.

Sometimes I regret ever posting (My Opinion) because I know someone is going to try and bait/troll trying to get others to think the way they do/have the same opinion they do.

Number 1. I don't care what Bethesda did or didn't do to FO3, or ESIV Oblivion/Morrowind I play them.

Number 2. I don't care what Obsidian did or didn't do to FONV. I play it

I don't look to a game company to make THE game to end all games, or have the know how to do so.

I look to that games Community to breath new life into whatever game I play, which the Tesnexus community has done so well for a good long time.

If Steam annoys me, so be it-it's my opinion not yours. If you have a different opinion then your welcome to it.

But stop being so judgmental of others not sharing YOUR opinion.

In my opinion FONV is a good game. But there is nearly nothing new that hasnt already been in FO3. NV feels like a FO3 with all the big mods but without interesting NPC characters (except the funny Veronica of course) The storyline is boring and i never had this "can´t stop, wanna know more" feeling. I give a damn about any NPC characters, they are just good for quests. The map seems to be always the same, walking through the wasteland and keep walking and walking and walking. Desert everywhere, maybe a few rocks here an there. FO3 had a much more interesting leveldesign: Wasteland, cityruins, underground passages, destroyed Vaults, Oasis forest and so on. 80/100 points from me, not more. FO3 earned 95/100 at my list  FONV has failed, but i dont regret buying it. Thanks to the great modding community, fixing many things i dont like in FONV

Meh.

Obsidian > Bethesda (When it comes to Fallout).

I missed the dark humor which is especially obvious with the Wild Wasteland Trait on. I missed the bleakness.

In FO3...I kept thinking "Whoever nuked this place did a bad job" cause there was TOO much stuff.

FO:NV is barren and I love it. Finding little areas tucked out of the way that make sense.

They seem to have actually put thought into some of the locations not just plopped em down.

My first run through of FO3 lasted around 36hrs..2nd lasted 48 (explorerness..)

So far? First run through of FO:NV...63Hrs and i still have so much to explore and do.

As for DLC? -.- (Not that ive reached end of game yet but ive done enough reading to know)...Open Up End of Game.

My two major complaints against FO:NV...

1)Crash bugs. Between the game and the display driver crashed from my Radeon HD 5870...going nuts.

2)...The weapon mod system is great but i feel cheated...

2A) First off...I have NEVER found 1 SINGLE mod kit in the wasteland ANYWHERE....Hmph.

2B)Who decided how to do the system which determined which vendors would have which mods? Whoever that person is...shoot them IN THE FACE.

Further Explanation: I saw the Hunting Rifle scope on the Goodsprings vendor within the first 5 hours of play. Yet I did not see the 9mm Pistol Scope till about hour 30. I also found the Suppressor for the Sniper Rifle in Novac when I first arrived there (Mind you, hadnt even SEEN a sniper rifle yet and wasnt even using a hunting rifle yet). However I couldn't find the Extended Tube for the Cowboy Repeater till....I got to Hoover Dam (And i aint even using that gun anymore either). So whatever backasswards system determines what mods appear on what vendors is BUSTED. (Thank god for player.additem X at this point)

Other than that..love game...nom nom.
