Kethruch
Is there a weather mod, or does anyone know how to change the weather through the year, so that in a temperate area it would rain during the summer but snow during the winter? Also, are the days and months locked, or does anyone know if a different calendar can be entered? Thanks
Marxist ßastard
Changing the weather of a particular region as the seasons progress would be relatively easy... Just make a conditional for each season, then put in ModRegions for Sheogorad, West Gash, Ashlands, Bitter Coast, Ascadian Isles, Molag Mar, Azura's Coast, and the Grazelands, and a conditional that checks to see if the player has C3_DestroyDagoth up to an appropriate level, then modifies the Red Mountain Region accordingly. The hard part would be coming up with good values for ModRegion. As for editing the months, there is a mod out there that adds the "missing" month of the Tamrielic calendar, Hearthfire. Kaningutten
Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I want to see if anyone can tell me how the calendar can be changed. I'm not experienced with the CS but I fiddle about with it a little, and now I want to try and change the name of the months and the number of days to fit the Shire calendar (LotR). I've looked everyywhere, but I can't seem to find any explanation on how to do it... So can anyone help me?
Nyture
The best idea I can think of to add spells / change months is something to do with exporting the magic effects / game settings (under file menu), editing/add a new value, and then importing the text file. Still experimenting, though its looking promising. If I find out more, I'll let you know.
Kaningutten
As I said, I'm a beginner with the more advanced parts of the CS... All I've been able to do so far is building houses and adding Npc's and stuff! I'm planning on building my own Hobbiton just to learn about the CS. It won't be anything I plan to release or anything, just for fun! So I'm now starting to set up the 'backdrop' for the mod. Well, actually I was planning on making it a very small total conversion... (Working from the blank esp daerk created) What I wanted to say was that, considering my inexperience with scripting (etc) in TES3, what you just said was beyond me... If you don't mind explaining how this would work I would truly appreciate it. And to you MEMod people; could I perhaps persuade you to tell me how you did it? dunmer_jediknight
since you are new to scripting I HIGHLY recondmend downloading "morowind scripting for dummies " that can be found on this site. I have it and it has been a ton of help.
Serrieth
that is a very interesting idea. But to make a mod to have weather changing is you must set all the REGION's weather to CLEAR. 100Then use a script to determine when or where the storm or rain or clear or snow would appear. Remember there are GLOBALS that have the values for YEARS MONTHS AND DAYS. Use those value to help you determine when the RANDOM weather would hit. And where. If you have anymore questions, post in my thread GIVEING SCRIPTING HELP!
