Should I Kill Eddie?

I just rescued Meyers from the NCR Correctional Facility and before I even got to the facility the Powder Gangers where hostile and so I had to shoot my way in.

I’m thinking of going the whole haul and cleaning the place out and killing their leader Eddie but an NPC such as him should have a quest to kill him anyways from the NCR or someone.

Does he? If not I’ll just kill him now but if he is tied to a quest involving his death I’ll stave it off.

Well, I killed him with no issues, however, you will get at least 1 failed quest for killing him. I guess if you help them take over Goodsprings and get on their good side, you can do quests for them.....

SPOILER ALERT!! DON'T READ PAST HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!!

Killing Eddie is one possible outcome of the "I fought the Law" quest chain started by talking to Eddie in the prison while you are still neutral to them and offering your help.

That's the one I did.

No idea what the other outcome is, but I know clearing the prison with the NCR made my PC KOS with the Powder Gangers now.

I did the Powder Ganger helping quests to the point where I can choose to offer to help the NCR take back the prison.

Then before meeting the NCR contact outside the prison I went back and did the Goodsprings quest to take out Cobb and his men.

Then I went back and wiped the prison.

Lots of good karma hits for that. =)

Still annoying that taking anything in the prison is considered stealing. =P

alternate prison route

help the gangers

but don't fire a shot

as an even more sinister plot - take along companions - their kills don't effect your reputation

loot all the slain

walk to Eddie

stand by as the Cash Registers kill him (NCR == National Cash Register)

Loot Eddie

Scamper out with the gangers liking you for warning them about the impending raid

and your Cash Register relations remaining untarnished.
