RollandM
You know it really surprises me this isn't in the vanilla game. Almost every FPS in recent years has done this for their Sniper Weapons the ability to hold a key that makes you hold your breath while zoomed in allowing you to steady your aim for a few brief seconds to zero in a precise shot with a sniper rifle. I would like it to work like this. - Zoom in with a weapon and hold Shift - for 0.5 seconds x Endurance Attribute allow for decreased weapon wobble, player must wait 10 seconds, - seconds not used from previous breath hold, -0.5 x Endurance Attribute before holding breath again When StandingBase - 70% Less Wobble When Running/Walking- 25% less wobbleWith Shot on the Run - +5% less wobble When Crouched-80% less wobble With PerksFast Shot - +5% more wobbleTrigger Discipline - +5% less wobbleGunslinger - +5% less wobble with One handed guns onlyCowboy - +5% less wobble with Cowboy weapons only does not stack with GunslingerShotgun Surgeon - +5% less wobble with shotgunsCommando - +5% less wobble with Two Handed GunsSniper - +5% less wobbleWeapon Handling - +5% less wobble only with weapons that meet your natural strength requirementConcentrated Fire - 50% chance of no wobble if still holding breath after shooting weapon. With Shot on the Run - +5% less wobble when running/walking Also the addition of an ability to Lay Prone in addition to crouch would be great if Prone it should be 95% less wobble with One Handed Guns100% less wobble with Rifles

McclaudEagle
You're forgetting something. Fallout: New Vegas is an RPG game, not a FPS. There isn't enough gun usage in the game to give it that classification. Because of that, not everything to do with combat has to be realistic or precise. Also, just crouching in-game will give you a good aim.
devilbound
The aim in the game with crouching is already a lot better than you get aimin crouched in real life, not counting possible beta inhibitors, have no experience with those myself. But from what I remember from my army days, the aim while crouching in NV is already pretty okay. To get the swaying like down to zero, now that would be really unrealistic. I dont personally like if a game doesnt have sway since it makes shooting unrewarding by taking away any semblance of challenge.
daishicommando
In real life zero sway is unrealistic, but aren't marines taught to trace in a small sideways figure-eight pattern (infinity symbol) so as to make the shot more predictable? That could be a possibility, rather than the fairly random wobble that happens in NV. At least, that's what I think I was told and taught to do when I was taking my rifle marksman class. Some games do that figure eight pattern as well. Being able to time the shot on the loop-over in the center of the figure seems to help. Also, if you don't have something entertaining to take your mind off the strain from holding the gun for so long, standing with a scoped assault rifle staring down range gets tiring fast. McclaudEagle
Although I've never held a real rifle, I'm pretty sure the weight alone would contribute to the amount of sway, not to mention other factors.

Yea that would be nice, to have the swaying a tad less random (tho like I said I dont find it hard at all to aim in FNV) maybe make getting the "training" for that something you get from some sniper NPC for example, like a small quest or summat, to add a lil to it. Although I've never held a real rifle, I'm pretty sure the weight alone would contribute to the amount of sway, not to mention other factors. Well guns dont really weight anything (especially if you hold em w both hands), its not really about that, its most about your own breathing. And that said, holding your breath doesnt help really, since the reason why breathing affects the aim is because of your heartbeat, and that one cant be held (which is also why beta inhibitors help aim since they affect your pulse)... MeNoChinese
If you go prone, have shooting sticks, or can brace your weapon against something solid, you can have virtually no sway.
