ShinigamiKing14489
Okay. I've tried near everything and I'm unsure of where to go at this point. So I guess that here will be an okay place to start. Okay so when I'm playing any game, but it's most severe in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, after a certain amount of time, my whole computer will freeze. But if I can just get Fallout 3 working I'd probably be happy none-the-less. My Primary mod manager is usually Mod Organizer but I switched to Fallout Mod Manager for FO3 just to try and see if it'd work better-- It hasn't. Average FPS is 60, but it seems to run longer if I limit it using ENB settings, so I currently have it limited at 40 FPS. Average Play time before freezing: 5-20 minutes. This has happened since I first put the computer together, Christmas, but it's been getting worse. It's to the point I can't even play Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas for more than five minutes at best. Fallout 3 played perfectly, without any freezing until I started using FOSE. But just not using FOSE is not really a likable option as most of the really good mods require it. It seems that even though the FPS stays at 60, everytime I add more graphics mods it seems to freeze even more, the ENB making it now unplayable. But I do want to continue using them if at all possible. I saw someone with a a similar problem instruct underclocking the graphics card and the memory, but that didn't worked. The temperatures are within what I've read are acceptable ranges, but even when I disabled the auto-off when overheating feature the problem still persisted. Average CPU Temp when playing: 50-68C Average GPU Temp when playing: 70-80C If anyone can help I'd really appriciate it.
M48A5
You do not mention having the Large Address Aware Enabler as noted on the NMC Texture Pack page. You also need to limit your CPU to 2 cores. Fallout 3 will freeze if you are using a CPU with more than 2 cores. See: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1465357-installing-fallout-3-with-windows-78-and-xp/ All these steps must be followed or you will continue to have problems. Fallout 3 is not optimized for Windows 7, 8, or 10.

Fallout 3 is not optimized for Windows 7, 8, or 10. I do have Large Address Enabler. Sorry for not mentioning it. AND I DID NOT KNOW THIS. That is probably it. I'll try it when I get the chance later, but that is most likely it. I've never had a more than two core computer before, so please forgive my ignorance. Thank you. EDIT: It didn't fully work, but it did make it slightly more stable. Edited February 3, 2015 by ShinigamiKing14489
