loderunner
Hi,I've been stumped on this one for awhile... When i load to outside, it crashes instantly in the loading screen. However when i am inside, i can play just fine. I'm thinking that it might be an oblivion.ini problem. I had to do workarounds for my ATI card to get shadows. It worked, and other than that i just increased some grass and tree distance. Nothing even major, small increase at most within website recommendations. I know it should be possible. Ive done OMM conflict tests on my mods. None. I have turned off my mods. No help. here are some specs for you to check out. I am more than capable to run the game. WastelandAssassin
where are you in the game?? have you ever went outside??and if you can save and it works, maybe just disable the "on travel" autosavethis should prevent the crashes, as far as i knowworth a try
loderunner
in response to the other thread - i cant go out in to the wilderness. I am fine in buildings and cities. No, technically i can not leave the cell. I was on a previous save, where i had nothing but a black screen. So i went into theshaders folder like most people say and replace the shader file with the one your renderinfo.ini is trying to read from. I had all the visuals from the game then, just no shadows. Which led me to try to fix the shadow problems...which left me at a loss. I fixed all of them, except in the options it says that it doesnt work. The oblivion.ini was put on read only so oblivion couldnt change the settings back. According to other people, they not only get their HDR to work, but the visuals and shadows as well. I am on the latest drivers/patch(unoffical).

WastelandAssassin
this program is basically the best conflict solver i know ofi've never used it on Oblivion, but i have used it often on Fallout 3, so i know it workstry using it, to spot the conflicts (if there are)and do a master update, which i'm sure it can do (read the manual)on Fallout 3, this solved many of the problems i had, so it should also help you
loderunner
erm program just sort of froze, what i did make out was that it said nearly everything was an error. Which according to the author, from the other release, said a bug he was trying to fix. Everything being proclaimed as an error. I had no addon conflicts. I find corruption of the main files hard to believe, as i was working with it in game until i needed to fix additional shader and shadow material. additionally it really couldnt have been that since i have reformatted, knowing i had the issue, and now am trying to resolve it again. although i didnt format purely for the game =P. additionally i would like to point out that the program has a memory leak problem. WastelandAssassin
well, this has never happened to mebut then again, i was using the Fallout 3 version, which is newer, so has probably less bugs and suchso i really don't know what to tell you...... do you want to try a master update??basically make a copy of the exe file of this program, and add to it's name MasterUpdate (without a space in the name)for my Fallout 3, it is FO3MasterUpdate, while the original is FO3Edit (just so you'll know how to change it)then run this file, and if it will work, it should fix this problemat least, i hope it willbut use at your own risk, as i have never tested this version of it, so i can't promise anything
ub3rman123
It may be a saving problem. Have you tried quicksave inside? It could be crashing when the autosave runs.
loderunner
masterupdate is not available for tes4 and quick save works. Now my previous save wont even boot in. I can create new games and walk around in the actual prison area, but when i try to go outside or boot save, it wont load. However i can boot in to a previous game if i enable all my mods again. Yet there are no mod conflicts...
loderunner
I had a backup oblivion.ini everything worked until i tried enabling shadows manually in the .ini. In game shadow filtering and shadows on grass are greyed out, as well as something else... Edited October 29, 2010 by loderunner
