Need help identifying a problem mod (FPS drop and CTD)

So, I have a lot of mods. nearly 200 at one point. I've narrowed down to 129 total plugins, and one/a few of them are causing CTDs roughly 10 - 20 minutes into the game. I've been trying to cut down as much as I can, but a lot of what's on mods list is stuff I've come to see as essential. Honestly, I can't look at my mods list objectively anymore, so I need an outside opinion. What mods do you think are causing my CTD issues and what mods do you think are causing my low FPS? I usually have anywhere between 40-120, but I get highs of like 187 in the field outside whiterun and lows of 12 in Riverwood. While I'm hoping it's not, I do believe ETaC might be causing it, but I'd rather not be rid of it if I don't have to. So, without further ado, here's my load order and mod list, obviously, mods that have a "= 0" next to them aren't activated, and some are follower mods I'm working on (also not activated.) If you see something that should be active and it's not, let me know. I've been going over this list for days now and it's all starting to blur together.

(also, I have tamerial Reloaded ENB. And fps isn't such a big deal, but if you see something that's known to be an fps killer, let me know. )

Textures, City/Town overhauls, NPCs added or overhauled, anything that adds more NPC or buildings... those all add the FPS drop.

But... 120 FPS? That's not even needed. Skyrim is capped at 60 FPS and you should be limiting your FPS to 60 in your enblocal.ini file. FPS over 60 in Skyrim can causes glitches, flying mammoths in the air and crashes.

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=false
FPSLimit=60.0
Try capping your FPS and see if you still CTD after 10 mins.
EDIT: If you have a lot of HD and high end 4k textures... FSP will drop. You can try this program: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/?

I'm gonna give that program a better look later when I wake up, but I'm not sure why fraps recorded such high frames. enblocal.ini has the limiter on already.

Keep in mind that optimizing textures is only really worth it for low-end machines. I have a 780, etc, and there was almost no performance gain whatsoever. If anything, I think it's more common for players to be CPU throttled. Skyrim is unusually CPU heavy for a game and any area with lots of NPCs (like for example Riverwood with ETaC) will struggle because of it.

As for mods to remove to avoid CTDs, I'd start by disabling SmartCast and Footprints to see how it goes. Those both run constant scripts which can (and will) overload Papyurus and make you crash. I like both but recently had to sacrifice Footprints myself, as it was conflicting with something and causing too many crashes. The description for it makes a spiel of not being able to uninstall it but you totally can. Just follow their instructions, then disable the ESP and run save game cleaner afterwards to remove the script remnants. Keep a backup save from before you do this, of course.

Mörskom Estate has a big, fat warning about how many scripts it runs on its description page, so you don't have an excuse for just tossing that on without considering the consequences... You have to read descriptions if you want a stable game, man.

I've got a 3GB OC 7970, and when I ran the texture optimizer in the past, I didn't really notice a difference.

But now that I think about it, Footprints has been running since I started modding skyrim, and I've always had ctds, although they did go away for a time when I was down to like 50 mods. I had no clue it was that script intensive. I'm going for a paladin build so I hope I don't have to get rid of SmartCast, so I'll start with Footprints and hopefully I can play for a few hours without issues.

I really hope it's not Morskom Estate, because I just installed it recently and haven't even had the chance to try it out.

Ooh! Yes, yes, yes. GDMFSOB81 is absolutely correct. Sorry, I completely just forgot about scripts. Too much on my mind I guess. Scripted mods can have a huge impact depending on the mod and how many. I absolutely love Apollodown's mods, but after playing through with them all a few times, I had to uninstall them. I only use DCO now (sometimes). When it comes to scripted mods, you really have to "pick and choose" the few you want to always use/have. There are plenty I would "like to have" but it's not worth the crashes and they're small things I don't really notice in game anyway; such as Footprints XD.
