Planes of Oblivion

I know of but two shortcuts through certain Planes— one is imply to use a combo of Resust Fire and Water Walking in order to navigate the lava lakes.

Second tip concerns the 'Blivvie configuration where you have three 'big' towers: two satellite towers that have retracted bridges that connect to the third (central) tower that houses the Sigil Stone.

The game engineers it so that you have to climb to the top of one of the side towers(Tower #1), unlock the bridge to reach the other satellite tower(Tower #2), unlock that switch in order to extend the bridges that feed into the central tower, and then walk partway down Tower #2 to get to that bridge(blasting Daedra along the way).

I found that, once I unlock #1 and run over to unlock #2, if you try to run across the top bridge in order to get back to (a hopefully cleared-out) Tower #1, the top bridge retracts while the lower bridge (the bridge heading into the Sigil tower) extends. From that precipice of the retracted bridge, simply jump and walk along the ledge along the outside of the tower until you're above the newly-extended bridge feeding into the central tower. Slide down and land onto that bridge, and you've beat the tedium of fighting your way down the stairs and chambers of Tower #2 in order to access this very same bridge.

You can use water walking to walk on the lava? Ouch hot hot hot!

I like those side towers which are connected to the main tower.... It's nice to walk on a high spot anywhere in the game... (too bad you can't see that far in the planes)

I found a Flame Ring (Resist Fire 100%) the other night, does this mean I can swim through the lava now? :D

i dont think so, with experience accidently walking into lava. its not like water either u walk on it, or u fall thru it. no swimming.

I don't know what kind of lava you are walking on, but I can swim in it (with God mode toggled). I'm sure, since there is lava in my mod and I often fall in it... Lava is just water with a different texture, and constant damage. ;)

if ur talking about the 1, where u go in with Cpt.Burd, that was my favourite quest. the other 1 is absolutely horrible. the 1 with Burd, is the ONLY 1 i will ever willingly go in AGAIN.

I only use it for testing my mod, not while playing ;)

I just found out that the oblivion plane with the two entrances (best plane i've seen so far btw) also has two main towers. I don't know how this will work when you close the one entrance. The tower you went in the first time should look different then... No sigil stone in it anymore. I haven't finished the plane, so i'll do that now.
