trintim Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) So I beat the boss and take the sword, get teleported up to Maridia she walk up to me (the ball bobs over like it has a body attached), she talks to me, the I get the quest completed message, she stands there starting at me for a few seconds then walks away...I'm stuck in place, can't move, only thing I can open is my journal and wait menu. I've tried searching around and no one seems to have the same bug, some people have reported being stuck but being able to walk around or falling or getting teleported just below her.but not immobile. I've tried going back to an earlier save before I fought the boss and before I took dawnbreaker. I've tried using console to coc myself somewhere else which works except I'm still frozen, I can look around and open my journal but thats it. Tried completing the quest just before she talks to me, tried completing the quest before taking dawnbreaker (then I'm just stuck in the room). The only option I seem to have is to coc myself out of the area, setstage d09 500 (to complete the quest), and manually add dawnbreaker to my inventory...but I'm afraid this might cause more problems than it solves. Does anyone have a work around or a fix? edit: ok after opening up my search critiria I found an old thread that helped me (http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1052021-character-frozen-in-place/) For anyone else who may encounter this: I oepend console, looked down, clicked on the floor (near the shrine), used player.moveto to get down, and used enableplayercontrols to get unstuck. Vudou Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Break_of_Dawn I had been stuck in the sky from The Break of Dawn quest once before as well. If you look at the above link, it's actually a common Skyrim bug itself. The USKP patch fixes it. I haven't had another "floating forever" encounter after putting in USKP. If you don't already have them, you may want to try those Unofficial patches. EDIT: But yes, your commands are a good quick fix for those who do get stuck and don't use those patches. Good job on finding that out. Edited February 6, 2015 by Baibaihe
