Black texture on custom weapon/textureless weapon model

I followed LeckerHamster's video series on creating a custom weapon, and apparently I did something wrong along the way.

 

The mesh is fine, the weapon data is there, but the textures aren't, it's just comes up as black and shiny.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
