toothofymir
I work for an architecture firm, and one of the perks I get is a free copy of AutoCAD. I trying to get into the modding business, and I was wondering if anybody knows to how to save/convert a AutoCAD model into a model that can used in the G.E.C.K. If this isn't possible, I'd appreciate if someone could point me towards a program that I could use. Cheers.
kevinseven11
It would have be able to convert autocad files to .nifas well as provide textures. Not sure if possible but I dont think so.
coralfang
You can export the .dwg file to Blender, 3Ds Max or Maya and then make the UVMap and then compile it using the niftools script. I know that you could export to .3ds in autocad 2006, dunno how its done now...For Maya you probably need some tools too in order to export. But since you already know how 3D works, you're better off learning how to model with 3ds max, maya or blender.
