Avetre
I tried to give a thumbs-down to a mod- CONELRAD to be precise- and when I tried to click "submit", nothing happened. Everything on the screen except the button worked. It wasn't until I tried to give a thumbs-up to a different mod that the site informed me that users must have accounts older than 24 hours to rate mods. I did not notice anything about this when I registered, or in any of the logical places that such information might be included. Many websites include a FAQ or Help link on all their pages where basic information such as this can be readily accessed. Including such a page would be both simple and extremely useful. It may seem unnecessary, but it can be very easy to miss or misread information provided upon registration, and it is frustrating to scour the forums for information that really should be on a Help page. I am running Chrome v. 7 on Vista. My only installed extension is IE Tab. I also attempted the process using IE Tab and again using IE itself (v. 7). The submit button does grey out in IE, but it does not go to the 24-hour notification page as I assume it should. Edit: I have tried this again, after being sure I have had my account for more than 24 hours, and the thumbs-down still isn't working. Can anyone help? LHammonds
I don't use Chrome. Chrome and Opera have been too buggy with dynamic-page sites like the Nexus. (yes, I tried them out and with default settings, they don't work well with the Nexus) I use Firefox and default settings work perfectly. Then again, I don't thumbs-down mods either so I'm not quite familiar with that function. I'd rather try and help a mod author improve their mod rather than perform a drive-by egg dropping. ;) LHammonds (File Admin)
