[WIP] Sign Font Resource

I've just finished off getting all letters of all signs into one file and was wondering if to do any others..

 

I've retextured IC-signs quite often to fit the needs to give things a more vanilla look and it made more than sense to make a resource out of it...and it to be fair to share.

Mainly because I sometimes think it's a shame that some mod-made signs won't blend with the game when regulars are used.

It's missing a few letters, but that's simply because they haven't been used in the game. I'm still thinking whether or not I'll add some custom ones.

The reason I'll not add the symbols is that Vagrant0 already made one. I might add some custom ones however. (like the the glass used on this sign)

My wondering is however if there was a need for more of these type of fonts. Although some simply grab an empty sign and put their own letters on it, at places like the IC it'd just make it too clear something is from a mod instead of blending in.

My next is an advice of which format to use. Personally I use Photoshop, so it'll be a PSD. I know Gimp has his own format, so I'll try to add that one as well. Any other that are best to provide it in? .PNG maybe?

 

 

And yes, there's a difference between 'Font' and my usage of Font :P. I'm not sure if I could create a Font file out of it so you can use it even more easily.

I think you'd need some after-editing anyway, but if someone knows how to create a font that you could type I'd gladly hear.

PSDs are find, GIMP can handle them.

 

Why are there several forms of each letter?

Mainly because Bethesda handled them differently, in terms of colors. There are a few different sorts of signs in lighting so that happened to the letters as well. I could've picked one, but this allows some choice to be left. Commonly used letters, or strange ones are picked out more often (if possible) so there's again a larger choice. For one it might not matter too much, but another might be able to pick the right one to blend it a bit easier with the sign they are creating. (some have a little green/beige/brown/black etc.) I've basically tried to get at least 2 of them.
