skydragon78
Hi In checking out various water mods, I discovered I had 'green screen'....a muddy green screen when diving under water. Some very helpful people pointed me in the direction of a corrective mod, which has worked perfectly. A little TOO perfectly. A known side effect of this mod is to remove all underwater blur, leaving the underwater scene as clear and sharp as walking along the road to Whiterun. I know there is an existing mod which corrects this, but from reading the comments it's in a format which is not recommended. As a new, inexperienced and unskilled amateur, I don't know why it's not recommended, but won't touch anything I don't understand or others don't recommend using. I would love to see an SKSE mod to restore the underwater blur. Having it perfectly clear is totally unrealistic and breaks the immersion and realism for me, the reasons I got into modding in the first place. It's no fun being able to see every chest, every detail of every wreck and every lurking slaughterfish. And while I'm on that subject, another mod I would like is to improve the fauna of Skyrims waters. It seems to me that no matter whether you're in the mountains, the icy wastes, the marsh or the tundra, you encounter exactly the same types of fish. There is no variation...although I could be wrong. It would make it more interesting, if possibly frustrating, if certain fish were only found in the marsh, or the streams, or one specific lake which was surrounded by enemies...an interesting development for the alchemists amongst us. One thing I'm certain of is, when you get to the sea, it's entirely barren. Not even ice bears nor horkers, who you should be practically guaranteed to run into. Although of course the cold, frigid waters of Skyrim wouldn't really be home to a great deal of life, it should have at least some. I understand that (unless there are mods I'm unaware of, which is entirely possible) there is little or nothing to actually do in the rivers, streams, lakes etc, other than sunken wrecks or chests, and therefore it was probably not high on Bethesda's priorities to give an enhanced experience in the oceans. But with a race like the Argonians, it's a massive opportunity that I lack any skill or ability to take....but someone out there will have those abilities, and I feel both these mod suggestions would add greatly to the experience. That's my thoughts...I've tried posting this before, but my computer is being annoying. If I've repeated myself, I sincerely apologise.
